If you mean the connection on the PSU itself, the number of pins is irrelevant. I have had a couple of 203watt 360's which have only had 2 pins on the 'kettle' lead connector (my old launch day model did have 3 though).
Easiest way is as you say, check the writing on the PSU or on the console box.
