I'm trying to cut down the amount of unhealthy drinks I consume while at the pub, such as coke, JD + coke and pints. Are J20 drinks fairly healthy (ie actually fruit juice) or are they just sugar and chemicals? I've checked the label, but it seems a bit ambiguous to me.

Fruit juices are going to contain sugar (fructose), but it all depends whether its added sugar or not.

Ok thanks :), maybe I'll stick with orange juice instead, even if it does always come in those stupid little bottles.

The orange juices are almost as bad.. and diet coke isn't great either (aspartame)

It is hard to get anything healthy in pubs, unless you're happy asking for plain ol' water

Real Ale is probably the best option ;) way back when even young children used to drink Ale as the brewing process killed off all the nasties in the water!

Someone once told me that a pint of lager is the equivilent of a couple miles running on your stomach. I don't know how valid this is though, but in his defence, I've drunk more at uni than when I was at home and there's a belly there that wasn't before :p

Apparently a glass of red wine is good for you!

So you could just make a glass last an evening lol

Men don't drink red wine in public :)

Real men drink Ale or Bitter. :D

Lager tastes like watered down crap after drinking Ale :p

J20 sends my girlfriend loopy and I have the most amazing dreams if I've had a couple of bottles (when driving).

J2O is better for you than, say, coke. In that it at least contains some goodness. OJ is better for you than J2O as it isn't pumped with added sugars and other such things. Fruit juice, in general, however is acidic and high in sugar (better sugar than the sugar in coke, but sugar none-the-less) and thus shouldn't be drunk in quantity.
