Just upgraded my ram from 4GB to 8GB, and as a result have been back into the bios having a look at the settings, something which I haven't done for over a year. Thankfully with the new 8GB, my 4.0Ghz was still attainable.

Here are my settings:

Is there anything that needs changing?

I have very little idea when it comes to memory settings.

I'm no expert but i would turn your DRAM voltage down to 1.5v not 1.6.
I would turn down load line calibration (LLC) to off then start to turn down your cpu voltage bit by bit and try and get it round 1.26v and your temps will come down with it.

Thanks mate. You raise a good point about temperature actually, I don't really require the CPU to be running at 4.0Ghz and would rather have it running as cool as possible so I have moved it down to 3.6Ghz and the CPU voltage down to 1.275v and the RAM voltage down to 1.5v. Will try get the CPU voltage down a bit more.

Where is the LLC setting and any reason why it should be off?

Load Line Calibration, and if you turn it off chances are your machine will be unstable, leave it on auto. Some like to leave it on, can help stability.

Edit: I was asuming you were keeping it at 4 Ghz, lower you might be OK.
