Are Samsung heatpump dryers any good?

i spent £1800 on a samsung washing machine. yes £1800. and tbh it's not that great. it's not very well built either.

i did it because i wanted something with a 10 year warranty and be as energy efficient as possible and handle a large load 10kg. it also had 18 months interest free offer on. so £100 a month to pay it off and if it lasts 10 years. it's the equivalent cost of £180 a year or £15 a month.

in hindsight i should have probably just went with something for £600 with a 5 year warranty. i should have also went with LG who are supposedly better.

i'd do your research on youtube, etc. or speak to someone who repairs them for a living.

You should have gone for a Miele if spending that much, they're supposed to be really good. Also heard LG were good at the high end. I had a budget of £400 for the washing machine and it had to be dark coloured rather than white, which limited a lot of choice. The Samsungs seemed to be rated pretty highly and so far it seems to work well. Much better than the crappy Indesit washer it replaced anyway.

For something like a dryer I cant see how the time it takes is that relevant, its not like you are normally sitting there watching it go round. I would have thought its energy consumption is its biggest selling point. Our washer takes 2.5 hours on an eco load so its not like there is going to be a queue of washing behind it.
