Are Sky & Virgin really worth it?

I am in a similar position to Scam. Aerial on the roof, but only VM and Sky sockets in the living room. Luckily my TV has a satellite tuner, just not frees at so no guide.

I’m looking at sky mostly because my house Has a dish but no aerial. No freesat so no guide, and channels in a random order.

But now I’m looking at paying for HD, Cinema and a box for the bedroom
