Are the graphs in this video real?

I'm not sure but he seems like a bit of an xbox fan too me, also it says the xbox 360 disc format is hd-dvd which is wrong, it's dual layer dvd
 
doesnt the xbox 360 share its ram between the gpu and the rest of the system?

so when it said the video card hard 256mb of ram for the 360 it was a load of bull(making the 360 total up to 768mb ram)?

also isnt blu ray winning the format war depending on what source you read?

Nobody knows the speed of the RSX, yet that vid claims too. Also with the memory thing the vid gets a most overused :rolleyes:
 
The memory thing is inaccurate, as they are measuring the 11mb of edram the xbox has against the 3's main memory.

thats what that outrageous graph was.
 
...and ...and ...and he said that the 360 has a 20GB drive in comparison to the 3's 20GB or 60GB, whereas some 360s have no HDD at all which could be potentially restrictive to developers, not knowing that all their users are on a level playing field.

...and ...and ...and what does he mean by PSN "is not expected to rival XBox Live". Maybe he doesn't expect it to rival XBL, in the same way that he reguards [sic] XBL as "one of the best online setups ever" :rolleyes:

...and ...and ...and don't even get me started on his OS arguments. PS3 is "hard to develop on"? "Could result in loss of developers"? "No real set User OS"? Whilst the 360 has a "very user friendly and feature packed OS" and is "easy to develop on"? I love his comment on the PS3 needing 3 times the number of lines of code to run - is this true for hello world?

I got bored at this point and switched it off.

Oh, any guesses on the age of the person who created it? I reckon they might be 12.... or 13 at a push.

you know, sony tells that bluray disks have 50gb space... this needs a 4 layered blu ray disk... those disks which ps3 supports have a capacity of 10gb... their quality isnt so big as hd-dvds and the blue laser, which is used to read blu-ray disks isnt so strong like the red one, so blu-ray disks arent so tough and they can be sctratch easily

...if people who actually designed HD-DVD spend half their time on YouTube posting useless **** like that, I think it deserves to fail :/
 
but its like why do these people even bother? at school there used to be blatant liars but you know you'd hope they would grow out of it and try to learn to spell.

his conclusion is bewildering;

so because the quality isnt so big, and the laser isnt as strong they are more easily scratchable?!

I'd imagine that weak laser means a need for thinner, possibly more brittle/soft plastic to allow it to pass through which can be scratched easier than than whatever CD/DVD/HDDVD is made from...
 
As I understand it the data is closer to the surface of a blue ray disk so they had to use a scratch resistant polymer to stop it being an issue.

Apparently it will resist wire wool rubbing... not going to be trying that out thanks !
