Are there any games that are optimized perfectly for pc?

As above, Doom Eternal, but why not pick up Doom (the 2016) version first to try as it's only 4 quid.

Doom Eternal just took over from where Doom 2016 set off tbh, I guess they've just tweaked the engine since 2016, both these games ran flawlessly from the get go and show's what can be done when it's done right.

Forza horizon 4 is the most well optimised game I've played apart from Doom and the sequel.
For such a massive open world game with other people driving around it and so much deformable stuff forza it's insane.
If they replaced the cars with people and guns it would dwarf the battle royales and be amazing

This surprise me (Forza) as it wouldn't start on my main system so tried my i5/1050 Ti LP HP desktop and it ran great on High - 1080p. Same with Doom so long as you have enough VRAM it will run.

Optimised?

Battlefield games are pretty good, BF V runs great at 1440p pretty high settings on my pretty ancient machine.

Shame the game itself is a bit pants.

Strikes me that we're not quite coming in from the right angle.
I'd see "optimised for PC" as making use of the available resources.
In the case of most players, you're probably looking at a taking advantage of at least 4 cores, graphics settings to suit a wide variety of graphics cards and the ability to make use of RAM when it's available, so as to reduce load times.

I'm unaware of anything that I currently play that does the above. I got the impression that Doom and Wolf are probably the best proponents. Does the Unreal engine do the above?
