I am building a computer (the spec is below). Does anyone know of any problems I might encounter with the building, setup and programming? Will these components work well together? Is this a good spec computer? I have only included one graphic's card as I am going to wait until the new ones are out in a couple of months time.

Looks like a nice build to me!
You might want to get a dedicated soundcard to make the most of your speakers, though :)

Swap the H80 for a Silver Arrow for better performance and a small cost saving (also quieter).

Can you point me towards a trustworthy benchmark that proves the silver arrow is better as from what I have found on serveral places the H80 is 5-10c cooler underload compared to the Silver Arrow and a lot less stress on the motherboard etc not to mention less heat in the case which is a big plus towards the main heaters of a case the gpu's!

from those benchmarks you can see that, at similar noise levels, they both cool the processor equally, however, the H80 can spin its fans faster, making more noise and cooling it down a lot more.

also, dont forget that the H80 dumps all of its hot air inside the case - you are supposed to mount it as an intake so that it gets the coldest air it can

if you want the H80 then go for it, but personally i'd prefer the £25 in my pocket

as for the rest of the build it looks really good except for the case. you can do a hell of a lot better than the antec 1200 for that money. the silverstone raven (2 or 3), coolermaster HAF 932 or HAF X and the corsair 650D come to mind in that price range and will be much better than the antec 1200, which is really getting old and dated

Antec 1200 is a good case!! I personally prefer the Haf's but its personal preference regarding all these cases and I think ppl should stop saying something is better when its just something they prefer!! I have seen some awesome Antec 1200 builds!!

Those links you gave were rubbish the cpu wasn't even overclocked so hardly a test of when things get hot and what can handle it. Plus a few of those results look suspicious at best. From browsing tons of users posts the H80 is getting some trully amazing results but I also remember ppl slagging of the H50 when it came out but it managed to keep my quad core cooled perfectly at 4.2ghz!!! and tons of other ppl,s cpu's. Noise level comes down to what case you have and insulation etc. I have never had to jack up my fans on my H50 as my case has awesome airflow 12x 120mm fans on low settings very quiet and cool.

Back on subject the build looks awesome and you can always add stuff later if needed. I look forward to helping you build it. Just worried like you what problems we might come across anyone?? The Antec 1200 is a big case so wondering if we need any extensions to any cables to help with the tidy up?
