Are there any reviews for the Radeon 6700? Not the XT version, the new 6700.

It's cheap (at current prices) and doesn't look much cut down from the 6700XT, but I want to see some numbers before I make any decision. All I can find is rumours about it before release and single paragraphs about it since release, with specs. I'm particularly interested in the Sapphire Pulse model because it's the one OcUK has in stock right now.

I'd be gaming at 1440 on it, which I think it would handle OK. Probably.

Guy out in Portugal has got his hands on one - apparently were on sale there earlier, he has a few videos. No others that I know of.
Drivers aren't quite quite up to scratch yet it seems.

Yep as eddyr said. Fabio does lots of redeon reviews/benches. Seems like if its same price as the 6600XT then get it, otherwise if you are targeting 1440 like you mention then the full fat XT is better if you can find it cheap enough.

6700 is a bit cheaper than a 6600XT here on OcUK. Which is a bit odd, but that reviewer found the same thing in Portugal. And now I'm undecided again about what to buy. The last time that happened I missed my chance to buy a 3060 Ti. They were in stock for a couple of days and I foolishly assumed I had plenty of time to think about it. I didn't and they've been out of stock for over a week now. Maybe I'll just say "Eh, whatever" and buy a 6700XT. Or a 3070. By the time I make a decision the AMD 8000 series and nvidia 5000 series will be out :)

That one already linked and this channel are the only 2 i've found:

i'm definitely keen on the 6700 too, but want to see intels A770 to compare, then pull the trigger on the first 6700 price drop i think

We were patiently awaiting a third player to enter the GPU market these last few years, but now there's always the possibility that once the A770 has been reviewed, all other cards will go UP in price!

Always the possibility of a spike initially but longer term (if they succeed at sticking around) it'll mean more options and more competition so prices should be lower. If they bomb, or consistantly underperform then yes, it's likely amd/nvidia will then have a reason to raise prices because they're being "proven how strong their gpus are and have always been". That's why i said earlier i'm happy to get involved with intel early for the greater good longer term as i dont have bleeding-edge requirements for gpus

My 6700XT is running quite well. Latest set of drivers seems to have lowered my wattage when undervolting by around 15-20 watts(180ish->160ish core) and fps is still solid. Don't know why or how but then again a win is a win :). If one is gaming at 1440p I wouldn't go lower than a 6700XT as there are still a few titles that can be rather heavy on the resources unless of course budget is an issue.

That's all well and good but what does that have to do with this topic?

Hi there

To help people work out the differences, here is how 6700, 6700 XT and 6750 XT differ:

6600 / 6700 / 6700XT / 6750XT
7nm / 7nm / 7nm / 7nm
2491MHz / 2495MHz / 2581MHz / 2630MHz - Boost clocks
1792 / 2304 / 2560 / 2560 - Stream Processors
128-bit / 160-bit / 192-bit / 192-bit - Memory interface
16GBPs / 16GBPs / 16GBPs / 18GBPs - Memory speed
8GB / 10GB / 12GB / 12GB - VRAM

The 6750 XT is just an overclocked 6700 XT, there are no major changes, just a slight boost to core speed and memory clock.

The 6700 has more stream processors than a 6650 XT and a larger memory interface and more memory capacity with slightly lower clock speeds.

In short it is fair to summarise that a 6700 will match or slightly beat a 6650 XT at 1080P resolution and pull further ahead at 1440P resolution due to the 160-bit memory interface and extra 2GB of VRAM. As such a 6700 is a real bargain as it is priced below the current 6650 XT whilst board partners clear stock of 6700.

A 6700 XT is of course faster, particular at 1440P but it is not £100 worth faster in my personal view.

I'd say with a £400 budget the RX 6700 is currently the best buy on the market as it is an exceptionally strong 1080P and 1440P graphics card. Of course the 6700 XT and 6750 XT are faster but are they worth the extra outlay?

Also remember you can now buy a 6800 from £569 which has a whopping 3840 stream processors, 16GB VRAM on a 256-bit interface, as such is a considerable leap in performance even over a 6750 XT especially at 1440P and above resolutions.

If you don't know perhaps you should move on friend. Read the post. Others have mentioned the XT and my post is meant to be supplementary to those.

As above, but the 6750 XT is actually using faster memory that’s why it runs at 18GBPs instead of 16GBPs for the 6700XT. Also, the 6750 XT has a higher power limit so will be about 10%+ faster than a 6700 XT.

Also worth pointing out the 3x advantage in infinity cache offered by the 6700 over the 6600.
Not quite. Suspected this as cache is tied in with the memory controller. So according to TPU the 6700 XT has the full Navi 22's Infinity Cache (96MB - Navi 23 has 32MB), while the plain 6700 is only 80MB:
6700M is the same. You'd think mobile would get better perf/watt with more cache but then being 160-bit vs 192-bit that was not possible.

Still none the wiser what your post has to do with 6700 reviews even after reading it so i'll move on like you suggested.

The 6700 looks a decent option at its current price for anyone who can't/doesn't want to wait for next gen or a 3060ti FE drop.

Just got my Powercolor 6700 Fighter from Overclockers to replace my Powercolor red devil Vega56 which i've had for 4 years! Just plopped the 6700 in and updated to the latest drivers, Stock it's getting 2515mhz on the gpu and 1990mhz on the memory which is Samsung, Temps are 64 degrees on the GPU and 79 degree's on the hotspot, 1800 rpm on the fans running timespy but they are pretty quiet TBH, Card seems built to cost hence no backplate but i'm happy with it, Should do me another 4 years as i game at 1440p and really only do driving and flight sims, Do these RDNA2 card's respond well to undervolting like my Vega56 did? If so i'll have a play with it. Cheers.
