At those prices I'd go for the 6700.
one i have seen is powercolor 6700 any good and 1440p ok

Bought this for my son about two months ago. Cracking card. Unsure at 1440p but runs fabulously at 1080p. We have three rDNA 2 in the house. Myself a 6800 running 1440p, my eldest a 6600xt at 1440p and my 10 year old with the 6700. Given the 6700 is rated higher then the 6600xt which is great I can see no issues.

Like I said it's right between my 6800 and my eldests 6600xt both of which are great at 1440p. Can't see you having any issues.
It's not the prettiest card given no back plate but had no issues with it at all.

For sure, unless the warranty on the used card is very trustworthy, I wouldn't.
What guarantee do you have that the warranty will be valid (e.g. they'll provide receipt, or the manufacturer accepts second owner) or the seller will support it? Seller just saying it has a 3 year warranty doesn't mean anything. For me, the difference between a 6700 and 6700 XT isn't worth risking it, but eh, appetite for risk is always a personal thing.
If you're desperate for a bargain maybe just wait for black friday.

I would always assume that a used card has no warranty and make a decision on that basis. The warranty agreement is between the manufacturer and the purchaser. It's not up to the purchaser reselling the card whether or not the remaining term of the warranty transfers to the person they're selling it to. Unless you have it in writing from the company that issues the warranty (or that company has a blanket policy of allowing the transfer of warranties) you don't have a warranty agreement with them. Not for 3 years. Not for 3 minutes. Your contract would be with the person who sells the card to you, not with the company that made the card. You didn't buy the card from them. They're not involved unless they agree to be involved.
Is a used 6700XT with no warranty worth £40 more than a new 6700 with a warranty? Your call.
Yup indeed, to echo the last two posters: just because a card has a "3 year warranty" doesn't mean anything unless it's transferrable.
What I meant when I said "reliable warranty" was either a) the seller was a trustworthy enough individual who would help you interface with the manufacturer / shop should something go wrong (assuming they were the original owner) or b) you were buying the card second hand from a company who would provide a warranty.
As for whether it's worth it or not... you need to decide for yourself, but for me anything past around £150 second hand is getting into "not worth it" territory if it doesn't have a warranty. The thing could die 3 months down the road and you'd be out that money. (That's not to say a second hand 6700xt is worth £150, in case anyone takes it that way. The second hand value of a 6700xt is a lot more than that, I just wouldn't entertain it without warranty.)
