Are there any truly wireless PC speakers out there?

I've been hunting for wireless 2.0 speakers over the last week or so, but every time I find something that looks promising, I dig out the manual and you find that it has a cable between the two speakers. For me, that's not wireless, but I can't find any terminology to search for that produces a meaningful result. I'm obviously aware they'll each need power.

Right now I'm running PC -> USB amp -> Passive bookshelf speakers

Those passive bookshelf speakers are on shelves, and there's a huge distance between them that crosses a window. So no way I'll be running a cable between them. But I could run power up to each independently.

I would quite like to take the USB Amp out of the equation to free up some more desk space, but may well be a crap idea.

I feel the wire is there to make sure no sync issues as no doubt today it would be Bluetooth if not wired so once they both are wired even if Bluetooth to the source they will be in sync with each other even if not with a TV screen far away (can adjust delay in settings).

I know earbuds work but they are not 6-12+feet apart.

Yeah it does make sense to me - i.e. why you'd do it.

I also thought that perhaps by now that issue had been solved - even if the tech makes them a bit more expensive, but no idea what you'd search for to find them.
