I won't be buying a PS3 again until GT5
I owned one at launch and it was pants.

PS3 at launch isnt quite same as it is now lol, there are a few more games and the firmware is a little bit better

I have both the 360 and PS3 I got the PS3 for exclusives but I never use it apart from watching BluRay movies. On the 360 you've got it's exclusives and then you have the games that are multi platform which always look better on the 360. (Ducks for cover)
Why are you ducking for cover? The 360 was lead platform for the majority of games in the past two year, of course it looked better!
E3 only shown me more of the same. Japanese/Eastern games which to me, seem completely pointless.
Edit: ...but sure, if you like the genres, buy one.

Are you talking about Sony? They showed Uncharted 2, MAG, AC2 and God of war 3, wouldnt call them Japanese or Eastern games.

Go into the E3 thread and take a look. Its a good year for PS3
For a 360 owner we have been in a lull and the news is exciting, so it is going to get "amazing"
Matter of opinion thought isn't it. PS3 might have some exclusive but it makes no different to the 360 owners.

If the thread is asking whether its worth getting a PS3 if you have a 360, Then looking at those exclusives makes all the difference

it's a difficult one to call.
like all consoles i've owned, i just upgrade as each new model arrives. has nothing to do with any of them having an exclusive game that i want.
all was well until this generation.. all 3 systems are excellent at what they offer (and don't let anyone tell you different) but my real problem with owning all 3 is really down to time and achievements if i'm honest.
i want the achievements when playing games, so spend more time trying to get them = less time i want to use PS3/wii. it's at the stage now that no matter how good the game may be on PS3/wii, i'll not buy it as i know the time is not there to play it.
so while i'd say there is always reason to own any of the 3 consoles, make sure you have the time to actually use more than one. because with the best will in the world and no matter how good Killzone 2 may be.... i aint got the time to play it.

I have a 360 and have pondered over getting a PS3, but I don't use my 360 enough as it is, the PS3 would probably be the same.
Can't make the transition over from PC gaming, it's mostly due to the sort of games I enjoy though.
I would have both if I could afford it and lots of games, both have good games now and in the pipeline for the future.

Wow, thanks for all the replies guys - wasn't expecting this many.
I think that I would definitely get a PS3 at some stage, but I might wait until Autumn when the next big price-cut or upgrade comes out. The fact that Sony still havn't dismissed the pictures of the Slim as fake leads me to believe they are planning to bring it out soon, but didn't announce it at E3 in order to retain sales of the current model.

To me, yes - I own both and don't regret it. I think you get the best of both worlds, and both consoles have their good and bad points - and their exclusives.
