Are these temps ok....

have just installed my 2600k and think the temps are a little high.

Have not installed windows yet so only have the bios to go by,

CPU is reading around 43 degree & MB is around 27 degrees.

Are these high or am i been daft?

Install windows and see what the load temps are.

how much thermal paste did u apply?you might of used too little or to much.
I re applied new thermal paste on my new rig yesterday and my temps dropped by 5-6c.

did not use much thermal paste, around a pea size which was advised in another thread.

Will re apply tp and windows .... hopefully they will lower.


Have the fans on my H50 cooler in a push/pull config also.

Are the fans on your rad sucking air from out side your case. If there not turn them round

Fans are blowing cold air into case, temps was ok on my q6600 which was oc'd to 3.2mhz with idle temps around mid 20's and load no higher than 60 degrees.


Re applied thermal paste and temps are have gone to 44 degrees


Just installing windows now and will run prime

windows installed and coretemp is reporting idle @ 25 degrees
