Are they trying too hard with parking?

What happens when you park your car leave the car park and remember you have left your phone in the car and need it for work?

I'm guessing that could be one of the 7 questions asked but when used to the system you are just going to park and not even read those.

This. Putting a handful of shopping in the car to return back to shopping again. Also how long does it take to get your car back? 5-10 minutes? With queues? I'd say it would cost quite abit just to fund the electricity bill, but then looking at it the other way, they save some in terms of lighting up a multi-story car park and lifts anyways.

My mates old flat on the Isle of Dogs had double decker parking.

One time, one of the other tenants stupidly didn't reverse far back enough so we couldn't lower the lift to get his car out.

Mine in Limehouse has it too. Makes perfect sense as the basement only has room for 9 spaces and there are 18 flats in the building...

Takes 2-4 minutes but I guess you could counter that by the fact you only have to go back to one entrance rather than having to go up to the fifth parking level etc etc.

I personally think it's a really clever idea and the added security is a great feature.

My old flat in Munich had a double decker parking space under the building, very common over there. I really wish we had similar levels of parking over here, they seem to not allow it to try and reduce traffic but it doesn't really reduce anything, it just makes life very difficult for those who have to drive somewhere.

....or like in my town, they hand out more parking permits than there are parking spaces and you get to pay large sums of cash to park 3 streets away from where you live.

I can see just one problem with this system, if you are robbed/mugged or the woman lost her bag with the token+keys it will take the thief/finder zero effort to locate your car. In a traditional car park they would have to go around checking every car.

Other then that its a fantastic idea, and love the thought some clown can't be banging their doors into the side of you car when they park next to you.
