Hi guys,

I'm new to pc gaming and i would like an opinion if the below items are compabile?

Fractal Design Torrent Nano TG RGB - White
Intel Core i5 14600K
MSI MAG Coreliquid P240 AIO 240mm CPU Cooler
MSI MPG Z790I EDGE
Kingston Fury Beast 1x 16GB 5200MHz (PC5-41600)
Gigabyte Windofrce OC - GeForce RTX 4070 12GB
Kingston FURY Renegade M.2-2280 500GB
Corsair RM8850x 850W

Thanks a lot.

The CPU might not be supported out of the box and I can't find any mention of flashback.

I'd also recommend you don't buy only 1 stick of ram and 500GB is a very small drive for your games nowadays.

I have another 2x 1TB NVMe and the 16gb i was going to upgrade to another 1x 16gb down the line.

Running only 1 stick is just leaving performance on the table. You would be better buying a 32 gig set now and not having to try and get a matching single stick down the line.
It seems pointless spending over £1500 on a rig and skimping on a single ram stick

Considering the tiny cost differences between the speeds of the ram (using corsair just for consistancy over one brand) you would also be better buying faster ram as it can give a boost in frames on certain games with the 14 series intel cpu.

£349 board and doesnt have bios flashback is a joke. The only thing I would hope is its not on the back and is a button on the board itself.

I've noticed this with other itx boards that I would normally expect to have flashback and don't, I don't now if it is just an oversight in the spec, or there's some other reason.

I know I checked out both z790 and z760e rog strix ones and neither of the do and thats £400/£450. Very poor IMHO.

Even the tuff gaming a620m @ £136 has bios flashback.

I've learned a bit more from you guys and i think these are a better option.

Unles you need the pc soon it might also be worth waiting untilt he middle of jamuary when the 'super' range of nvidia gpus are released to see if it reduces the price on the older cards (not likely knowing nvidia) but worth a punt.
