Are you naturally lazy?

Throughout most of my schooling I would get distracted by pretty much anything, or just stare into the distance rather than do any work. Convincing myself that my bad grades were down to me being kind of dim and nothing to do with lack of hard work.
Yeh that sounds like me at the moment, reflected with my january exam grades in Physics and Chemistry.
Only difference is that I know I could do really well and get the grades, I just can't motivate myself to do something I don't find hugely interested in.
If something catches my interest I can be occupied by it for ages, even something really menial.

I look forward to starting a job / uni course that is of interest so I will work hard in it.

I'm rather lazy. Leave most of my work till the last second and get stressed over it :p It's my own fault and i know it. Just too damn lazy to sort it out :D

Also, it's just easier to sit on a computer and play a game, browse the web and chat to people then it is to do a huge assignment. So i go and do the easy one :D

I reckon I am.

At uni I know I could easily pull all the work off and what not, just never put the effort in.

At home I am currently developing my own e-commerce website (selling band t-shirts), I am getting somewhere with it but not very fast, I was going to work on it today and yesterday but the can't be arsed thinking kicked in :(, I just hope I manage to have a good blast on it when I come home from uni tommorrow :D

I'm the laziest person I know. If it wasn't for my missus I'd probably be a lot less lazy though as I'd be forced to do things for myself.

that sounds like me. im always in my 6th form classes just day dreaming instead of doing the work because i cant be bothered.

i have some artwork, maths homework and psychology essay to hand in tomorrow and i havent done any yet! :p i said to myself on a friday that i will get these work completed by sunday night but what do i do? browse through this forum and talk on msn which has messed up all my plans. there was times on sunday when i had nothing to do, and i thought to myself "lets do some work"..then i jus think "nah, i can be bothered, i do it later" :D i swear i have two personalities.....also i could contribute to more posts but im too lazy to type something up so i just sit and read :p

yeah so thats my laziness...i would tell you how lazy i was during the time last year when i should have been revising for GCSE...but i just cant be bothered to type!

im lazy when it comes to getting out of bed. Im gradually changing that though as its just really annoying now. Maybe some people are just born with something and others arent....
Oh well time for bed :p

Report writing is part of my job and I'll always leave it until there's absolutely nothing else to do. Then I have to plough through it in one go. Sometimes 50+ pages in 2-3 days.
Wow really?

That means I have 13 more days to laze about before having to start my research report....

It's 12.30ish (cba to look at clock to confirm)

Alarm goes off at 7, I'm knackered. I need to iron a shirt for work before I go to bed. My unironed shirt is across the room, next to the ironing board and iron.

My bed is <2ft away.

I'll just sit here and struggle to keep my eyes open instead.

in all seriousness it's frighteningly scary how similar that is of me, just change the lessons a bit and it's a mirror image... scary or is it just every sixth form student?

should probably think of going to sleep now, but i cannae be bothered...

No, I'm not lazy. Pretty much the opposite, in fact. I'm almost obsessively driven. I like to compete, mainly with myself. Whatever I do, I strive to do it as well as I can. It has benefits, but it isn't always comfortable. Even now that I'm sort-of retired, I still haven't let go of the reigns.

Im like the first part too, i really like to win and compete, if i do something i like to do it properly to the best standard possible. Unfortunatly i'm really lazy as well. It can sometimes be really annoying because it usually means i only do the things i want to the highest standards which usually dont count for anything in the money or work world.

Its really anno.....

:p

Yup, I'm a lazy bum. Strange, my dad and older brother can't sit still for a second.....they're always doing something. Me....I can happily sit on me backside all day. Nice nap in the afternoon. Maybe a quick stroll to the fridge and back. Ahhhhh.
