Anyone else been watching this.. really made me laugh at some points with some of the questions they come out with, I had to study the national curriculum as part of my childcare course and I honestly didnt know the answer to half the questions that were being asked.. :o

I keep meaning to watch this after seeing the adverts on sky one, but I've only managed to catch half an episode so far. From what I have seen, however, it's all general knowledge and (other than maths questions) has nothing to do with how "smart" the contestant is.

I certainly didn't get taught anything about pantomimes in primary school, and we weren't taught French or German until our last year. We didn't do any history either, other than project stuff like learning a little about the ancient Egyptians.

I'd like to see what primary school teachers make of it, but I doubt they'd agree that it's representitive of what kids are learning these days.

Hm, Yeh a lot of the basic stuff is obvious, but some of the other stuff varies by school, I remember I did Ancient Egyptian stuff in my primary school where as my mates in other schools were doing the Greeks or Romans..

Still a good show to watch mind.. And some of the kids looks like reet little buggers an all..

i actually find myself more interested in educational stuff now when im older, i was pretty bad at school but one of my favourite subjects was history, and just recently a friend of mine who is a secondary school teacher had to come and borrow a few books of me about germany and the rise to power of the nazis and it was a subject at school i didnt do to well in,thank god for uktv history lol

I thought the show had potential but after watching it, i think it's rubbish. It's far too slow. Some of the questions are actually pretty hard i think :\

can't say I think this show is very good. Some of the questions are ridiculous too, I don't remember learning any of it! We mostly learned how to write, read and do maths. Just because you can't remember the name of a character in a play doesn't mean a 10yr old is smarter than you!

Neither does an IQ test :)

There is no true measure of intelligence as it is an incredibly complex word to define.

For instance, an ability to recall information at will is not necessarily indicative of a high intelligence... it just means you have a good memory. Useful for education <19/20yrs like. (see other thread).

Can't stand the show, it's far too slow paced so they can stretch it over an hour, they don't need the big drama of Noel going over the same question for 5 mins, it's not that hard a question lol!
