Happy with where you are in life and with what your doing?

I know when growing up you have all this wild ideas on what you want to be when your older, then you start to get older and most dont end up doing this.

Im not unhappy in life as I have a great girlfriend, but work wise its a bit different.

I also get the feeling I should be doing something special, like what im doing now is not enough and im meant to be doing something else.

So, anyone else the same? Or are you all doing what you imagined ya self to be doing? :)

No and No but I'm still relatively young so hopefully i can mold my life into something better, which reminds me that i need to start a topic....brb

Yes, im happy, what i have/am doing is good enough for me. :)

Exactly.

I am pretty much doing exactly what I imagined myself doing, am at University living with a nice girl. Perfect.
 
I am happy with most things, however I sometimes think that I might look back on my youth and regret being so straight-laced. I think once I have another purpose other than money (eg kids) then I will feel a bit different about this.
Slightly off topic, but I also worry about death sometimes. I don't like the idea that no matter what I do in life there is a 0% chance that I will still be here in 100 years. Every second that passes is a sec closer to my life ending. Lovely.
 
Happy with most things...

I have a good paying job for my age (Around 13k) working in a Police Control Room for vehicle recovery, I have my dream car (Each to their own folks, please remember that) and I may still live with my parents, but im happy.

Career wise, after a year or two, I want to go into the Force in one of their control rooms, or possibly working as a driver of some sort... I may even stop where I am, as there seems to be plenty of promotion prospects on the horizon..
 
Im still in 6th form but im happy :D , I'm not worried about making millions when I'm older, but hopefully I can achieve the lifestyle that my parents have. Then I will feel successful.

Oh yer, i need a better comp as well lol
 
Of course I am, why wouldn't I be? If I wasn't happy I'd damn well do something about it rather than moan on an internet forum :p

Pretty much, yeah. I'm grateful for everything I have. I'm easily pleased though.

In an ideal world there would be a few things I'd like ot change but we don't live in an ideal world (well at least I don't) and I'm aware of that hence I'm happy with my life.

All I have to do is think of certain people I know who are a hell of a lot worse off than I am and I realise that some things I may not be happy about are completely trivial in comparison. That makes me happy.

Are you happy about every aspect of your life?
 
hmm. 50/50, just got another good payrise (£7K) so money is becomming less and less of a problem, but always wonder is there more to life than earning money. Always wanted to join the armed forces, 21 now so its not too late yet but it would a hell of a pay cut :(

That's the only way to go about it. If you're not happy with something then change it. It's dead simple.

There are exceptions of course which can't just be changed but the majority of things can be changed for the better in some way or another.

That probably looks like a big jumble of words but you get the picture ;)

I'm forever worrying that i'll never meet the right girl in time, constantly feel that time is slipping for me to do so even though I'm only 22. :eek: :(
 
I occasionally think about the money I've squandered over the last 10 years (many, many thousands of pounds) and think I could have a big house by now but I'm generally happy with my lot.
