Area51

Just shows you how good they are at keeping secrets. It took them 51 top secret areas before anyone had a clue they even existed.

Never really thought of this before, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's happened.

Considering how 'top secret' area 51 is, I'm really surprised they let Google publish images of it.
I guess we have the right to see it though...

But I'm sure the government could pull it off if they wanted. Or just don't bother as everyone has seen it and there are other ways apart from google maps probs ;)

they apparently used to hide all their 'stuff' (veichiles) etc away once every x days. Something about the satelite capturing the images on that x day so

It' just such a fascinating subject. Amazing how they can keep security so tight.

That Bob Lazar guy is quite interesting, although he's probably just a very good liar!

I wonder what the life of people who work their is like. Wouldn't surprise me if they've all had name changes etc.

Sensitive sections of google earth and other satellite images differ in age to other sections. That's because the military would have bought up the rights for parts with sensitive info on them (aircraft for example) and had those sections replaced with older/newer sections where they are not present.

A friend of mine went there a few years back, got some interesting pictures.

Yeah, he's a little odd. ;)

Personally, I'd like to hear magick's views before making a decision.

Surprised he hasn't posted already TBH.

Sorry missed this post originaly.

My opinion is that Area 51 is a top secret test base that once stored the wreckage from roswell but no longer does and is today used as a kind of decoy.

The real UFO technology has been moved to other bases which don't attract as much attention.

It's all a 'Black Ops' red herring, to concentrate speculation and rumour all to one place, while all the real Top-Secret stuff gets carried on right under the general populations noses, where you least expect it. Smoke and Mirrors at a grand scale. ;)

This.

Anybody with a fraction of sense knows that whatever did happen at A51 has long ceased since it became public and that it is now a cover for all the other black sites.

For starters the fact that A51 is available on Google maps is reason enough to believe its nothing more than an empty air base now.

has anyone taken a gander at area 51 on google earth? quite interesting. if you go south west of area 51 you can see a load of craters and stuff where they have tested weapons, maybe nuclear. they look big enough!

Each one of those round coloured dots represents a nuclear detonation. You can see Groom Lake (Area 51) on the top right.

The one you posted is Storax/Sedan, detonated 6th July 1962, and was 104 kilotons. Just as a comparison, Little Boy that was dropped on Hiroshima was 15 kilotons.

He's AMAZING! He is now my role model.

ooohh area 51.... Probably don't do anything interesting there any more, but obviously seeing as I'm not the Area 51 Commander dude I have no real idea :).

On serious note i personally thing there is something there, if there wasn't anything there then why all the secracy, as it just adds to the conspiracy theorys
