Hi all,
I recently sent my 8800 GTS card back to overclockers for replacement as it was faulty, and due to some problem or another they could not send me back an 8800, so they sent me a 9800 instead - which is good, however..
I removed the other 8800 card from my MOBO (but this card is a different issue being taken care off with it being incompatible for SLI).. and tried replacing it with the 9800 GTX KO...
The trouble is that it will not fit, as the graphics card is longer, and it blocks off the SATA ports.... this means I can either have a graphics card, OR a hard drive...
Moving it to the other PCI-E slot is not an option, as there will be another 9800 GTX KO in there.
What can I do? The only thing I can think off that I can do at the minute is to scrap the SATA hard drive and get an IDE one instead - and plug it into a drive caddy in a HDD slot (board only has 1 port for the IDE, so 1 ribbon).
Is there anything available to find a quick and easy solution to this problem - for example a Graphics card riser to make it sit higher and give space for cables, or a sata extension card which will allow me to plug the wire in parralel with the board, rather than straight into the board??
Any advice appreciated,
P.S. the whole PC was purchased from OC a month ago.
