Hey guys

These bloody colds are driving me mad, I never usually get them but in the last 3 months I've had 4 with what feels like another one just starting, luckily not mega ones, but a colds a cold

EVERYONE just seems to have them these days, they'll never go away! Just when someone in the office seems to get rid of theirs, two people get it to take their place :(

Never known a cold season like this before, thank god for Night Nurse

Think I'm going to stop the heavy weekends and coffee drinking as its not exactly setting me up well for fighting them off

So who else is suffering this season then?

This might be interpreted as a moan, and your right, it is a bloody moan, I HATE colds (man flu and proud of it)

Been feeling run down all day :(

Woke up with a sore throat and immediately knew it would get worse. Then got a headache and just started feeling pretty nasty all in all.

I slept form about 4 - 8.30 and that's why Im up now...feeling better but not tired so I cant sleep :(

Hate to disagree, but this year has been quite mild for colds in our factory / city. Most people only have mild sore throats.

I haven't had a cold or flu for about 8 months.... and even then it was just a sick tummy with a night sitting on the toilet.

Last year was a nightmare.... 12 of us off at the same time. In bed for 2 days with really bad back pain, and shivers and I gave it to everyone else in the house, and my parents aged 70.

For some reason, the weather this year has killed off all the germs around here.

First year I've had a cold in a long time. It's a bit uncomfortable being in a closed space and trying to hold your cough hoping not to spread it onto other people. And I'm not talking about one of those "dry coughs". I'm on about those that you can hear the wheeze and phelgm in. Eww. And that itchy spike you get in your throat which can only be rid with a hard cough. And the headaches that not only ache your temples but the back of your brain. I've been on a diet of cough sweets and tea lately and am getting better.

I work in a bingo club in a city noted for being full of people with very bad manners. People around here routinely cough on other people without even thinking of apologising, let alone trying to avoid doing it. They genuinely don't think about it and see nothing wrong in spraying mucous, saliva, dead cells, toxins and whatever diseases they have over anyone within range.

Any disease that can be passed on that way is, unsurprisingly, rife. This year does seem worse, though. I've had a couple of colds in the last couple of months, which is unusual. I have one now. It's annoying, but it is only a cold. I have trouble concentrating, my internal thermostat isn't working properly (I'm hot...I'm cold...I'm hot...I'm cold), my joints ache, my muscles ache, my throat itches, my head hurts, even my eyes ache. The usual. Nothing to write home about. Aspirin and caffeine helps. I slept for 13 hours last night, which helped a lot. It could be much worse - I could have flu instead of a cold.

What does bother me is the resurgence of TB. Given the flithy scum coughing on everyone around here, it would spread like wildfire. Or the new strain of MRSA that's airborne.

Same in college at the moment, seems to be a cold that just won't go away. I haven't got it ;)

Had a cold for about 3 weeks now... just cannot shift it.

It's unusual because normally I just carry on and shake it off in a couple of days. But this ones a real beast.

Fresh slice of lemon and some honey in hot water definitely helps. I reccommend hot drinks to nail this one.
