Im not sure weather this is graphics related or not! If so please feel free to move to the right section :)

For months now i have been having the same problem over and over no matter if i use firefox or internet explorer

If say im on a forum and theres pictures they will go all funny, colour will turn green, lines will go through them ect

Will not load videos will just dispay a blank screen ect!

Ive done updates and everything seems to be updated even my graphics card too.

Spec of my computer that i know of:
AMD athlon (tm) 64 processor 3800+ 2.40GHZ
2.00 GB
64-bit operating system
Windows 7 ultimate

Graphics card is, Radeon X1650 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)

any idea guys? :(

sounds like the graphics card.
maybe its getting hot.
try removing the card and putting it back in just to make sure it is in the slot properly.

Theres plenty air getting into the tower ect so cant see why it could be getting hot.

Ill try removing the card tomorrow and putting it back in proper and see if that helps.

graphics card has never been played about with or even removed from the system since been built.

Im pretty sure i never had this problem when i was running vista  could windows 7 cause this problem with this graphics card?

If you have a spare graphics card lying about, try swapping it out for it? If no problems occur then you know theres definitely a problem with that graphics card.

EDIT

yeah do what he says, try reseating the card first.

I dont have a spare card :( ill try reseating the card and see what happend after that.

Hopefully its come out a little! cant really afford a new cards at this time of year.

i guess it could be win7 but the card could be clogged up with dust and thus getting no airflow and overheating if reseating the card does not work try and clean any dust out of it.

EDIT did you update you drivers via windows if you did that could be your problem try going to ati's website and download them there.

like has been suggested above, would update the drivers, especially if it is happening with only pictures, if it was overheating it would do that all over the screen.

if you have an inbuilt gpu try that

Ive downloaded ATI Radeon X1650 WDM Integrated Driver, hopefully thats the correct one :)

ill update when fully installed.

Thanks guys.

Scrap that, still having these problems!

I done an install of vista lastnight with no graphics problems so changed back to windows 7 and done all updates and installed graphics drivers from there site and have the problem back!

So there ISNT a problem with my card it just doesnt want to play nice with windows 7..

any ideas guys? as i have none! :(

Symptoms match those of an overheated card - probably damaged and in need of replacement.

Doesn't matter if it's not what you want to hear, facts is facts.

The card seems to work with vista with no problems? i would have thought if it was a damaged card i would still have the same problems with vista

i also forgot to state that i play a lot of games and my other half spends half her life playing the sims 3 late night and dont have any graphic problems

i just seems to be forum pictures that dont want to work!

i have just had the side of the computer off and gave it a good clean and also took the graphics card out and gave it a good clean.

it could be java or flash. i havent bothered updating adobe flash etc.. even when the pop-ups come. i kept doing ignore, or aks me later. after awhile i did find that videos integrated with web-pages did become corrupt, or not even play sometimes. a lot of the time it would only play the audio with a black screen for the vid.
Its probably not related to your problem, but check and see you have latest flash, java, and even the latest divx web player. software can cause major problems it seems, even if the hardware is all perfect
