That's your problem - your weight was transmitted through the case and borked the drive.

Hmmm im getting scared with every DEAD Maxtor post.

My master drive is a maxtor 200gb with windows and games installed on.

However i have all my music/video and downloads on a very comforting samsung spinpoint 160 drive.

had the comp for 3month now.... wonder when my turn will come

Seagate are one of the very best. Seagate are buying Maxtor... not the other way about

Seagate's also come with a shiny 5-Year Warranty too
