Am I the only one who keeps getting be-set by injuries and problems?!
It feels like it!

Here I am trying to get fit and healthy (and raise money for charity) and I keep getting hurt instead?

Last year I did a 10km run and ended up with a patella tenonopathy in my right leg (horrible injury and only just recovered from it) this year training for a half marathon and slowly building up and my left leg has started hurting ...same thing patella tendonopathy. Have been told to not run now for at least a few weeks, and have only till Oct to do the run, looks like im going to have to miss it now! Well Annoyed!!!

Are you maybe pushing yourself a little hard? Perhaps be a little more forgiving on your body and give it more time to recuperate between training?

Well done on the 10km though mate and hope you get to do the half marathon, and you should be proud that you're doing it for a good cause.

Hope you have a speedy recovery :)

Thanks guys, I've been warming up, stretching, running, cooling down and stertching again each run and only running 3-4 days a week but have still somehow managed to do my left leg in! Im really upset about it, was enjoying running again after recovering from doing my right leg in last year....
Have got decent running shoes too!
I'm going to have a complete rest from running for a few weeks and perhaps go cycling instead and see how thing go, but it's looking bleak for the half marathon this year.
I've just been reading another thread about running and someone was recommeding barefoot running or using the Vibram five fingers, I might give this a go and see if it helps in the future....

Genetics perhaps? You may just not be physically cut out for running, not in terms of fitness, but in terms of what injuries and ailments your body is naturally subsceptible to. Try cycling instead.
