I have one or rather had one of these. If I needed something on 0% like a new cooker or fridge freezer. They have faffed about with it and changed to Argos Pay or something. The old app no longer works and directs you to the new app. Being a senile old fool, I can't remember my login details etc. So I tried setting it up and got all my details correct and had to set up a username etc.

Cut a long story short, I now cannot login to the new app, it says my username is incorrect and if I recover it, it's exactly what I tapped in.

I thought I'd contact customer services. You can't even get connected, it plays a message saying they have too many calls and cant answer and drops the call. All I wanted to do was make a final payment for my cooker.

Rant over
Anyone else use this and having issues?

You should’ve had an email, got mine today, with your account number and online registration number which you can use in the new app to sign up and set a username, password and pin.

I don't have any experience with an Argos card but I did recently have to help a relative with their nectar account and the nectar system was completely broken for their account. It took many months of chasing to eventually get it resolved and the support staff didn't really care.

I mention it because it's the same company so you might not be doing anything wrong at all. If it's the same team that built the Argos system as the nectar one, it probably doesn't work properly and they probably won't care.

I think I may be in the same situation with Nectar. Had a card/account for many years, but following an app update (or whatever it was) I can't seem to login with my old details. It evidently has my email address and mobile number and will let me do a password reset, but then I still can't login and it says I need to create an account. It's very rare for me to use Sainsbury's these days so I haven't summoned up the enthusiasm to engage with customer service to try and regain access to my old account and associated points.

Sounds very similar. In my case, initially they didn't believe that their system was broken. I had to send video screen captures. Then they spent months waiting for it to be fixed before eventually giving up and asking us to create a new account, which they then transferred the points to. You might be better off just asking if they can transfer the points to a new account from the start.
