So about a month ago now I ordered a bed from argos. Home delivery etc. I paid my €31.50 for delivery and all was well. 'Usually delivered within 21days'

Great, I get a letter yesterday stating there is a problem with their supplier and they wont have beds in stock till the 25 of NEXT month. And then they will ship it out. So i probably wont get it till June!!!!

WTF :confused:

It really annoyed me, because right now im sleeping on a mattress on the floor as I got rid of my old bed. So now ill be sleeping there for another bloody month or more.
 
I'd be hasseling them to at least reduce the delivery cost or something.

Although it's the supplier ultimately at fault, when it comes down to it, you're buying the bed from Argos, not their supplier.
 
My advise is speak to a Manager, dont go thru normal drones in a Retail place.

I hear daily but oh ive waited 3 weeks for my apple ipod and your telling me its still not in stock what sort of service do you call this, call the manager.

I will one day tell the customer let me just go to the toilet and ill be right out with your product......

So definatly understand its not the Retail places fault but speak to the manager and ask what compensation he/her can offer if its not good enough shop else where frankly.

1; you have no naivety and as such, will never be treated in the same way.

2; you're the same as every other 16 year old girl.

Count yourself lucky, I was sleeping on a blow up bed until Argos delivered mine.

Hmmm, I don't know which one is the more acurate there.

Anyhow, I would be phoning them up asking what they would offer me as compensation, nothing then I would threaten to cancel my order, and do it.

WORST case scenario you have to make it again. ;)

Companies usually give in when they are about to lose your custom.
 
At least they informed you that the product was out of stock. i ordered a chair online a while ago and it said in stock, opted for next day delivery, it never arrived, waited another day as i thought i must have missed the delivery still no chair. I ring them and they say its out of stock they arrive in tomorrow do you still want it, so i say yes and they say ill get in next day. Again same thing happens, i ring them again and they say they sold out again :mad: .

Another thing that annoyed me i ordered 2 large items a while ago 2 parts of a desk, both had a green tick next to in stock, i pay and get to very last page and it says one of your items is out of stock and has not been charged to your card. So i had to pay 2 delivery's because of their stupid website. Thats why i try to steer clear of Argos from now on, they are great for small items and they sell loads of different things though.
