Arguing the Toss

Sometimes my arguments descend into inane ramblings, ramblings that I enjoy pursuing in the vague hope that I have the upper hand.

Am I just a annoying and hurtful person? I like nothing better than a good argument over something insubstantial, but my friend just doesn't. At all.

Any pointers as to how to deal with this person?

Thank you

Most people (if not all) I've met in my life like you have bigger personal underlying issues. Why is winning something so insubstantial so important to you?

If your friend doesn't suffer from the issues you do, why force it upon him?

My personal motto when dealing with what your describing yourself as is: 'Let the wookiee win'. I've much better things to do with my life.

I wont lie, i love to argue or rather a healthy heated discussion but to be fair im never doing it to be 'right' its just entertaining if both or all parties are on board!

Now if i am right i do argue the toss!

To be honest there's nothing remotely hurtful about you expressing an opinion on welsh music or books, so your friend sounds like a bit of a sad ****. But then again we don't really know how you were going about expressing your opinion - maybe you're the ****? Who knows? Life's too short for crap like this. :)

Nope I agree with you, I love arguing the toss. Even if I can see their point I will still argue mine untill they can accept it from the point of view I'm trying to make. I don't know why, because most of the time I'm wrong.
