ok on one of the car forums i'm on , someone is making the claim that a stock supra is better than a stock NSX. Now they have said a couple of statements one I agree with one i don't, i wanted to ask the OCUK motors section to see there opinon on the subject.

Statement 1: The supra will beat the NSX in a straight line (I have to agree with this one)

Statement 2: Both on a track would be an interesting result (This one i don't agree with, I persoanlly think the NSX wold be leaps and bounds over the Supra on a track)

Don't get me wrong I like both cars but a NSX is near to a supercar and a Supra it's a car with a turbo.

Be interesting to see what you guys think on the matter.

IMO, it'd depend massively on the NSX version. NSX-R's (esp the new one) are rather special round a track, just watch the million dollar battle to see...

The NSX is a serious car honed for enjoyment and feel. The Supra is, well, a Supra. Don't give a toss if the Supra is quicker, I'd buy the NSX :D

Regarding cornering - I believe Ayrton Senna had a hand in the chassis development of the NSX. If it was good enough for Senna....who would really want to argue with his assessment? :)

/beaten by AmmoWaster....bother :D

The NSX is absolutely leaps and bounds ahead of the Supra in every department. I've driven one quite a bit on track and as a driving tool the Supra isn't even on the same page.

The man was a true driving god, maybe THE driving god...

I was lucky enough to watch him from his early FF1600, FF2000 days, through his entire F3 season (every race!) and many of his F1 races and I even met him at Silvertone and Thruxton!

Wasn't the NSX produced in the 90's though? (ok early 90's)
It was launched in Tokyo in 1989, but would have been developed for probably 3 years prior to that, and I suspect that video was around 1989 to 1990.

Lol ok they are 80's socks, still can't believe a NSX has been compaired to a supra though, I need some Ammo to come back at them with, anyone help?

Ayrton Senna was not involved with the Supra, to me you need to add nothing more.
