arma 2 experts please help

ok so we decided to give it a go, but with no success!!
cant get past mission 1, nothing seems to work!! even wondered around the whole map and found a bunch of enemies and shot them but they didn't want to shoot back!! must have been pacifist rebel solders!

what the hell are we suppose to do??

i think something is wrong with the game?
game downloaded from steam while on there special price!

The online aspect of the game is incredible, not sure whats going on with your single player but you may have mis-read the objective or done something wrong. Like I said, the online is incredible.

A game with the realism of this game Im interested in.

Lol, don't expect to just "PLAY" this game right off the bat, end of the day its a simulator and treating it like COD will end in frustration. As someone has already mentioned, the online element is where the action is, can't say I've dabbled in single player myself. Make sure you read the briefing properly and plan a proper route.

Worth downloading ACE2, and if you don't think the AI are up to scratch after that install ZEUS AI or GL4, although the latter might be a little too complex for you at the moment as you'll need to edit the configs a fair bit to customise it the way you want.

thanks for your advice guys.
seems to have sorted it self out weirdly!!
done the same thing 5 times in fow no success! 6th time it done it and things started working,

once i get my head around this game in single/coop mode could move onto online multiplayer

Have you completed all the training missions?
Setup your own kit selection etc?
Have a basic understanding how choppers work in the game?

If the answer is no to any of the above go back and do the training and yeh as above get online. I haven't even bothered with the sp aspect of it, online is great fun.

Arma 2 is amazing online but be warned you must have plenty of patience.

Which campaign are you playing, and what missions exactly? Its a great game once you get into it
