you need to log in. you can use your steam handle though, which is what i did.

We have got a dedicated server up and running for Arma 2 Free, No mods.

We will be playing every 2 weeks, but the server will be up 24/7 for others to use. To find the server filter "HC" in the server list. In the meantime we can be reached everyday on combined arms running a list of mods available on our website.

Given the learning curve is there a decent FAQ around for newbies. I tried the free version last night and it mainly seemed to consist of people team killing because they couldn't work out who was on their side and who were the bad guys.

your average billy will play it for 2 seconds realise it isnt bf or cod and never play it again, that with the sub-par graphics of the free model will also hamper it.

Job done then, billy shouldnt play arma now he knows. some milsim obsessive gun freak may however like it regardless of graphics.

Does it give the full gun range, M32 grenade launchers, 25mm rifle and all that?

Ive been playing it on low graphics for 2 years, only recently realised its models are very nicely made on high. HDR is most important game graphics element
