I run arma 3 nicely on my sig rig but the game is 32 bit (can access the full 4gb though if you have 8) and heavily CPU bound.
My dad manages on an i5 760 at 3.8 and an overclocked 470.
There will be an update to arma (not sure when) and if you can manage on your rig I would just wait and buy then.
Otherwise 6700k overclocked, single 970 and 8gb would serve you well.
I get 60fps with decent draw distances in missions that don't over tax the CPU.
Edit just been reminded by the post above. Yes Arma 3 does benefit from fast ram.
