Is it worth buying? I want to play a good FPS game (not COD) while I wait for Battlefield 3.

It depends on what your looking for. It is certainly not like battlefield. It's very in depth compared to BF and in all honesty the singleplayer is a convoluted mess. But I love messing around in the mission editor and installing different mods. Multiplayer is great with a clan/group.

yeh i want a decent FPS that has good mulitplayer, i have played CS and CSS for years and still enjoy them but i want a different game now.

I enjoyed it, but had a very, very steep learning curve and I just couldn't be bothered with it tbh.

Theres a arma2 2 free to play version if you wanna test it. But most people play arma 2 operation arrowhead

You can pick it up very cheap now, worth ever penny when you call in an airstrike on an army of cows in the mission ed.

This tbh, if you put the time into learning the game and finding good people to play with then it's an awesome game. If you're looking for a quick fps fix now and again then there are others to look at.

What do you recomend, ARMA looks like it will take a while to learn, probably wait until ARMA 3 next year

If your buying this game for single player mission don't do it! The game is so bugged i could complete it lol, but there are a lot of user created mission.

dont realy like the user created mission part of it, I didn't have a clue what was going on when i just tried the free version. I want a FPS that puts you straight in the battle.

Try RO2 Heroes of Stalingrad. I have only played it for two hours but like it already.

arma really isnt that difficult to learn to be honest after a few hours with it you know all you really need to know to enjoy it properly....problem is people install , go online and then wonder why they dont know what to do or get kicked when they should have just done the training.

yeh its not cod or bf for accessability but christ its a game its not rocket science.

Why not try Battlefield 2 if your waiting for Battlefield 3? It's by fare one of the best Battlefields games out there, and there still a tone of people playing it
