Arma - mouse jerkiness

so just started playing Armed assault which seems quite good fun so far. however, i am finding that my mouse doesnt move as smoothly as i would like which is very annoying.

i cant remember what settings you have to change to get it smoother (based on other FPS games), anyone care to enlighten me?

e.g when aiming its sometimes difficult to get it to just the right spot as it "jumps" abit too much to the side.

which adds an additional challenge to IMHO a very difficult game already.

I've found that Arma is a very laggy game even with a high end spec computer which might be why your experience mouse choppiness. what settings are you running the game at and what's your computer like? It's a shame because Arma could be a great game, I know it has particular problems with 8800s
 
i dont think its a lag issue since from memory i recall you change something like mouse acceleration or similar?

when i say jerkiness, its not moving within say the 1mm-ish smoothly like i want it to.

running it a med-high settings.
core2duo 2.66
ATI X1950pro
2gb ram
