Set anticipation levels to 10 the next From Soft gem is on the way soon on 25th August.

Some youtubers and press have now been allowed to show some footage online of parts of the first chapter. The footage looks great and I can't wait to get my hands on the game.

It will be interesting to see how from soft handle a different genre.

If you have a decently spec'd pc it may be worth going with that just for mod support down the line. I'm on ps5 as my old 2600k pc system is just not upto modern gaming.

I've been firing up all of the weekend footage of the ac6 event on youtube. The pvp looked great and I can't wait to try it out.

I've decided to main the quad legs but I will try to at least build one of each leg type to test all options.

The pre load is up on psn - I just turned on my ps5 and it automatically started downloading it is 43.34gb on ps5.

It will be interesting to see if the ps4 version runs better than the ps5 version on ps5. This game uses the same engine as Elden Ring with the ps4 version running at a locked 60fps on ps5 whereas the native ps5 version looked nicer but had some frame rate dips occasionally.

Didn't From release a spec sheet indicating that the game aims to hit 4K/60fps on PS5 ?
I can confirm that the native ps5 version is fine. Today pushsquare released there review of ac6 on ps5. The reviewer specifically says "unlike elden ring the ps5 version runs at 4k 60fps with no dips in performance".

I've gone digital so I will be staying up to try it out at midnight. Unfortunately I've got a dentist appointment at 10.30am on Friday so I will have to limit my time that night. Once I'm back I have the rest of the day to test it out.

Finally got to play and first mission boss killed me more times then I'd like to admit for such a simple boss lol, I've never really played armoured core tho before so all new to me, game does seem to play and handle well too
I struggled with him too - it took me over an hour of attempts the first time I beat him.

So far I absolutely love the game but I am a total novice at it and I constantly feel on the verge of death. The missions are quick and to the point. It definitely has that one more go factor.

I hit a wall last night with the boss balteus. I spent 2 hours this morning until I managed to finally beat him with a simple tank build - 2 laser pistols and 2 laser canons (to obliterate his shield).

I beat him with literally a millimetre of health left but it felt oh so good.

I then beat all the rank e arena quests with the same build 1st time.

The next level seems huge a bit similar to the factory level in the first pre launch gameplay footage, I found a few hidden enemy ac characters in the level buy died to one.

This game is a must buy in my opinion.

I've just beaten all the rank d arenas with my trusty tank with 2x laser pistols and 2x laser rifles. I used the os chips to upgrade my health pack, upgrade my direct damage by 5% and to upgrade my damage mitigation by 3%.

Can't wait for BG3, only few more days til preload, got a new TV coming too few days before
I have BG3 on pre order on ps5 - with bg3, ac6, starfield, Lies of P, wayfinder and Lords of the Fallen I should be fine gaming wise until the New Year

I'm looking forward to lords of the fallen, but lies of P I'm unsure of, I tried the demo and didn't really think lot of it, thankfully it's getting physical release so might still try it, at worst I'll lose few quid

I've been thinking of ordering a used series X off rainforest to play starfield and then I'd probably just return it, since there's not really anything else on Xbox I'd be interested in at moment, I enjoy my RPG's and Playstation style games more then racing and FPS

Also I finally beat ******* spider boss last night, I tried the tank Gatling gun method others have used and couldn't get it to work, the DPS was insane but movement was horrible, went back to my plasma build, put all my tuning into dmg output and changed my plasma missile launchers to big plasma rifles pretty much and that seemed to work well, still took few tries
Well done on beating the spider that boss was no joke. I'm looking forward to having levelled up parts and going back to tear him down to size. The toughest part with the tank was staying close to him to make avoiding his attacks easier.

I've hit a tough mission in my playthrough (eliminate enforcement squads). I was a bit tired last night so I farmed the tester ac and enter the dam complex missions to buy as many parts as possible. My aim is to buy all the shop parts so if I die to a boss I can go into assembly and have all build options available.

I've downed the worm and completed all rank A arenas.

Feeling confident I thought I would try out 1v1 and 3v3 nest multiplayer and got absolutely beat down but it was good fun.

Now onto chapter 4.

I'm only at Balteus, got to the mission yesterday and he (it?:p) kicked my butt a few times, I quite consistently got him down to like 20-30% health but couldn't close it out for some reason, probably need to focus on timing more since there's no iframes here or switch builds maybe.
The sword slash gets me often.

Enjoying it thoroughly though, yet another proof that From can't make a bad game:p

Haven't had much time to play and I also have to juggle this with other games I want to finish due to the preposterous PS+ price increase:/
The price increase to plus has persuaded me to go from premium to the basic essential when my sub runs out next July.

Good luck with Baltius he is definitely one of the trickier bosses.

I beat the game today and immediately started ng+.

Thanks, will give it a go in a while:p

Yeah, the price increase is nuts, I'm thinking about grabbing a cheap Essential card as a stopgap as the conversion will give me around eight months (I believe) of Extra. I'm into competitive fighting games and plan to move back to PC for those later. Should give me enough time with SF6 and T8, then I'll sell them and rebuy on Steam, don't think I'll want to pay even for Essential at these prices.
I use shopto for psn vouchers so usually get at least a bit of a discount. I'll stick to gamepass ult on xbsx as my subscription service and just buy the ps5 games I want (usually on the cheap via vinted physical).

Gamepass has given me Monster Hunter Rise, Wo long and a few other gems this year with Starfield, Lies of P and Flintlock (maybe next year) still to come. I did the 3 years ultimate for £110 total trick in August last year so I'm set for a couple of years still.
