There were actually reviews done of the original game (I think one of them was from Eurogamer). It was pushed back at the last minute (with reviews ready to be published) and given 6 months extra development time. Hopefully it paid off.

Hopefully they will have worked on the game during that 6 months.

The only reason they delayed it (supposedly) was because of so many other 'bigger' shooters which were being released around the same time. It made no sense to release Army of Two since it wouldn't have sold nearly as well as it might if it is released in a dry spell of releases.

I think the number of shooters around at the time certainly helped the decision, but I'd also like to think that for a change EA actually decided this just isn't good enough yet.

when roughly should we see some reviews of this game ...........

Ah cool. I dunno what to get it for, will depend on the reviews and if i renew my LIVE sub.

As for the quality, Even if i get just another 10 hours of RSV i will be happy :)
 
Depends whether or not the reviews are under embargo. They could all be under embargo, or all but one exclusive. The game's not out for a few weeks so I wouldn't worry about reading a review for a game you can't even play yet.

My girlfriend has bought it for me but obviously it won't be arriving until release day :) . Will be playing it through with her on co-op.
 
I don't bother with reviews anymore, I just wait for the hackers on my FL to start playing it in two or three days time and ask them for a yes or no ;)

Hopefully it will be half decent i'm so bored I've started playing Pro Evo 08 again.
 
I was looking forward to it until I saw the first gameplay video. Then I thought it looked pretty bad. That was a while ago and I haven't watched any of the videos since so it may look better now.
 
On the X360 magazine podcast they said all the code they had seen so far was incredibly poor. They said the story was terrible and it was the worst game they have ever seen.

I assume it has been delayed as it is being "tweaked". I certainly wouldnt buy this before playing a demo.
