Army of Two

This game is way, way better than Kane and Lynch.

Like I said earlier in the thread, you really need to play this co-op to get the most from it.

Finished the SP mode just a few mins ago and i have to say, its as bad as that other crap utter ***** game Kane and Lynch...too many niggles in this game that really ****ed me off to no end. Major one is your AI which seems to put u right in the line of fire as your getting healed....WTF is that all about??. Secondly the friggin weapons you have are useless more or less against the enemy...half the time you cant even hit them but yet they can hit you behind walls??...again utter rubbish that they can get you behind walls but you cant do the same.

You just can't shoot you big jessie :p

I have never yet been shot behind walls. I have no trouble killing me with a submachine gun or assault rifle from range.

Melee I find hard to pull off but that's as tough as the controls get.

The AI sometimes is very poor at pulling you to the right place to recover you, but as Wyrdo says this game is made for Co-op.

The point of this game never was to play alone. The only reason I've had one play through on my own first on normal is so I can get some kills.:D

Oh and on Contract difficulty I've found the last two levels a bit of a challenge in single player. really wouldn't fancy pro on my own.

Just finished the aircraft carrier level.

Enjoying it, is very much a co-op game, is great playing with a mate split screen, it's not too bad. I usually hate splitscreen however.

My favourite part so far is modding all the guns with ridiculous upgrades then "Pimping" them with gold! :p

:D...thats true, my aim at times is a bit hit and miss...another little niggle i find is that for some odd reason if your standing still...the camera tends to pan which in effect causes you to pan...few times i got caught out whilst trying to get a lock on an enemy only to find my aim was a few inches off:p. Dunno if its happened to anyone else though...havent seen anyone mention it yet.

I'll probably will give it a bash on co-op, it definitely looks like a game that needs another human being playing it...that way at least you cant blame the AI for pulling u into the line of fire:p.

Personally i aint touching Pro level, the contract difficulty was tough enough for me to handle.

Yes it does, no idea what it's like as I hate splitscreen gaming with a passion.

Loner :p

I've just built myself a projector and split screen gaming is fantastic. There's nothing like having your mates next to you when you beat them at a game :)

A very frustrating game, what are developers doing? im fed up with looking forward to games and on the whole finding there crap.

Glad I didnt purchase it, its pretty good but there are far too many niggles for £40 worth of game. Definitely one to rent for those interested (or when it comes down to £20 or so), got a m8 coming over for some split screen co-op today.

I have only just started to plya the SP (solo). The only comment so far is your buddies AI is a bit week. On the clips I have seen it seemed much better.

I did my third run through last night just on my own to mop up some achievements, the AI was annoying when you were waiting to get healed but that's my only criticism of the AI.

He'd take ages to get to you and one time he just dragged me for ages to get behind some wall to heal me when there weren't even any enemies in sight :(

I'm glad I played through twice in co-op mode, especially on pro difficulty.

Heh not at all, I prefer my multiplayer gaming online. My screen is mine, I aint splittin' it with no one! :p

Playing on a nice big projector screen would be awesome though.

I'm the same I find it distracting, which is why I have two screens, two xbox's and if needed two copies of the game.

You or soulja available for a level or two of Pro today. Should get this finished on contract in the next hour or two.

There's nothing like punching your mate in the arm necause he team killed you (Hi krono ;) )

I have no friends :( :p

I dislike splitscreen in games because I just don't like losing all the viewing space, I much prefer fighters or football games where you get the whole screen for both players.

I bought this yesterday and have almost finished the SP campaign. It's very like GOW in it's style but not as good. I have enjoyed playing it and understand it probably comes into its own in co-op so I don't have any real complaints. There is some things I feel could have been done better, the main one I found is not sticking to scenery like in GOW which makes it harder to properly use cover, particularly when shooting around a left hand corner as a right hander.

One word of warning, when you get to the very last fight do not shoot the 2nd level baddies from the ground floor. I did that an it screwed the checkpoint meaning it didn't register the game section as completed. So I got no achievements and when dieing had to start from scratch.

When you get there you will know what I mean.

Well played it Today and tbh I think it's very poor. The only thing it has in common with Gears is that fact it's third person, apart form that it's absolutely nothing like it. Doesn't come close to Gears in graphics, gameplay, level design, enemy AI, controls or anything else.

I recommend you try playing it in a true co-op mode. That way you overlook a lot of the minor imperfections, and simply get on with playing it and having fun.

Thats what keeps making me laugh, its not a single player game. Never really has been touted as one. Which is why it's set up for drop in and out co-op.

It's not as good as gears but the AI is atleast a match for gears. Yet all of a sudden people seem to have forgotten the idiot that was DOM, the comnpletely idiotic Locust AI. This game is getting ratings around what it's at an 8. The only thing gears had better than this game is graphics.

This game is atleast it's equal for difficulty, sound, story and AI.
