Army of Two

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but did no-one find the GoW style gong that occurred when an area was clear slightly amusing?

Overall, I thought it was alright. I didn't think it flowed as well gameplay wise as GoW and wasn't overly keen on the tiny little sequences they chucked in that seemed to end rather abruptly.

The story was quite good and it had several cool features which it would be nice to developed on further such as the aggro, and co-op actions (co-op snipe seemed a bit pointless rest where good though,). If a sequel is made I also hope you can stick to cover and peer round like you can in GoW and Vegas as I kept finding myself jumping to cover and going to peer round just to walk out in the middle of a gun fight :(

I mentioned the gong to Wyrdo today when co-op'ing :D

The trouble with the perfect cover system is it's hard to make the game challenging as you never get hit or killed unless its on a almost one shot one kill basis like R6 on realistic.

Gears had a good cover system but it was also almost impossible to die while using it.

In Army of Two the idea is to just get your partner to hold and lay down fire so you can move from point to point to flank. With a prefect cover system the game would be incredibly easy.

Had a 6 hour sitting yesterday with a mate, and finished it.

Thought it was ok, wouldn't say it was great and there were some odd issues where guns kept firing or the camera would be stuck in precision mode - both fixed with a couple of presses of the offening button though.

It was nice to have rumble (PS3) and some of the levels looked amazing (Miami for example), but I don't really think this game would be that fun on SP.

Looking forward to replaying on the hardest setting.

Scort.

Decided to give it a go on the pro level, so far hasnt been too bad...one good thing doing it again is that i know exactly what to do:p...plus im just finishing up the other achievements that i wasnt able to get first time around...think its around 5-10 of them that were missing.

So far hasnt been too bad i suppose, the difference ive noticed is that a lot more enemies come your way but the AI seems the same??...ive only done up to Afghanistan...killed Al Habib so off to the next bit. Im sure it will get a lot more tougher as i go through it again...this time around though ive managed to work out how to get my teammate to actually work with me ie hold his position and keep the enemy occupied whilst i go round killing them:p. Never paid much attention to the tutorial when i first started the game:p

I see where your coming from in regards to making it too easy. I would have like something even if it was just so that you were attached and could only blind-fire as the amount of times I have pressed 'y' to dive to cover to get some health back only to find I'm not really in cover that much and am still getting turned in to swiss cheese. :(

Got this through from my rentals yesterday and gave it a quick blast last night (which turned into a 3-4 hour session lol).

Its a good game so far. Im sure it excells in co-op mode but Ive only played in single player so far. Lookin forward to packing the kids off home tonight so I can whack it on again for a few hours tonight before match of the day :D

Can some just explain the controls to me.

The d-pad up and right for example. What do they do ? is it up for advance ? and left to hold ? what does the blue and red colour mean ?

Also coop snipe, what does this do ? is it both of us sniping the same target ?

Picked this up to rent a few hours ago as I wasnt sure if I wanted to purchase it. Waiting till my m8 comes over tommorow so we can co-op together, hopefully will be good fun.

It takes 4 levels or so to get good, but it is good fun after you upgrade some weapons and get to the more elaborate levels.

Solid 6/10 to me so far (this means good.)

Blue is defensive Red is agressive. Up makes the AI guy advance, never use it. Co-op snipe is handy for taking two guards out at the same time so as not to alert more bad guys.

I've only had a brief bash at the first Afgan level and a few hours online in ranked games.

I'm definitely up for some co-op for campaign and online soon.

I actually found advance to be quite useful, but you have to be very careful when to use it. When you're sure there is a room or area with mainly blue or pink enemies (no red or green heavies) then it's pretty safe to use, even on professional difficulty. I usually use it to get him inside somewhere then set him to hold aggressive, this normally puts the enemies on the back foot.

Im thinking of getting for xbox360 questions first:
1. After hearing sp is pants due to the ai should i just jump straight to co-op.
2.Is it easy enough to find ppl online to play co-op with

Actually the online multiplayer is much much better than I was expecting. If it had been 8 player instead of 2v2 it could well have been one of the better 360 MP games.

The only trouble with it is the Melee is too strong. It works well in the single player but is too easy to use in MP.

I'm on my 3rd and final play through now on Single player.

The billion dollar achievement on MP is ridiculous. I saw on an achievement site that if you boost you can get 1 to 2 million per play of 10 minutes. Which equates to 166 hours of gameplay.

I played through single player, then co-op'd pro with Wyrdo. Co-op is sooo much better. I'd hang fire mine will be on MM tommorow after I have finished this play through ;)

Me and my mate got to last misson i think. But we were sitting drinking side by side with two ps3's and two 32" tvs lol. great fun. But had to go out before we could finish it :(

You're getting rid of it so soon?

This is me we are talking about. I play a game to saturation point for 4 or 5 days and then get rid to make way for the next one.:D

Never have more than 2 or 3 games on the shelf. On occasion I make a mistake getting rid of a game and buy it back at a later date ala Graw2/R6V.

I think I once did 50 hours on Viva pinata in 72 hours of real time.

Apart from that On my shelf is GH2/3 and Pro Evo (because I'd feel bad passing that on) Oh ang PGR4 but selling that aint worth it because its an import.

It's not soon for me really because I've played over 20 hours atleast on it since thursday. I've never been the type of person that picks at many games. If I like a game it gets hammered especially with my days off work.
