Sorry if this has been discussed before but I did a quick search and came up with nada.

I've recently been stocking up on a lot of games for when sometime in the future when I'm fed up with the way the industry is headed (drm, rip off dlc, Multiplayer shoehorned into every single player game making it worse, a digital download only future, kiddy motion control crap etc etc, I'll have a whole host of decent games to play pretty much forever. I've found some older games that I've missed this gen and was wondering about Army Of Two and the sequel - the 40th day. Should I pick them up? Are they any good? I've read the reviews but I never trust them as they are often misleading and contradictory. Does anyone have these games and could you recommend them?

I have the first Army of Two and also the 40th Day. I played them with my girlfriend over system link and they were good fun. We picked 2 copies of each up, the first was only about £4 second hand, the second is about double that unless you get lucky. Well worth it in my opinion if you like co-op shooters.

Pretty sure EA have pulled the servers for any online modes

they have for the 1st one the 2nd is still working online for coop.
the games themselves are not to bad worth a play through on coop, its not groundbreaking and on sp its a joke with AI i felt like shootin him myself.:D

Ok, thanks for all the replies. Helpful people around on here as always. I'm going to try and pick them up cheap on the net. Cheers.

That's very kind mate, but I've managed to get both games on the net at a reasonable price on the 360 - can't wait for them to arrive!
