Well. I think a humane execution is more civilized, but the Battle royal could work yes.
Got to look on the bright side of this, at least it isn't the US where this guy would have been armed with a bump stock + AR15 he just acquired at his local Walmart and has ended up killing 20+ people.

Perhaps if more UK mainstream police were properly armed to deal with the current terrorist threats the perpetrators could plead their cases posthumously and save the poor taxpayers a lot of money in court representation on legal aid and lengthy incarceration. As to the talk of why his leg looked white whilst the rest of him was black perhaps he was feeling the cold and wearing Long Johns, or his lower leg was bandaged? Never judge a book by its cover....
