US: Arrow - Season 2

I'm pretty sure that the producers have said that the appearance was nothing more than a little fan moment, there are no plans at this time to introduce the character. A shame, as Harley is a criminally underused character.

Yeah, but they are the same producers that said they wouldn't introduce super powers...

Zap2it sat down with "Arrow" executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg...

...The second major rule is that in "Arrow," nobody has superpowers. In his time away, Oliver has honed his skills to the point where he may seem superhuman, but he's really just an extraordinary human. Clark Kent won't be flying in with a cape and when and if the Black Canary turns up, she might have a very commanding tone -- but she won't have a siren scream.

Kreisberg says that the lack of superpowers doesn't limit the characters they can bring in from the DC universe, but it does give them license to change those characters. "What it does is it creates an opportunity for us to reinvent some characters and present them in a non-powers, grounded way," he explains.

Suddenly Flash, suddenly super strength, suddenly rapid healing etc etc...

But yeah, it's a long shot for anything to happen with Harley... :(

That scene never happened in the 'Suicide Squad' episode, so here's hoping she appears later on for the finale :D

Rumour has it this lady has been cast as Harley... but take with a huge spade of salt...

You're right it wasn't in suicide squad. The question then is, is it an upcoming scene or one that was cut from suicide squad? I really hope it is the first and not the later. Oliver is always so serious as the arrow so I think it could be very entertaining having Harley interacting with him.

Regarding powers though Hex, Yes there is super strength and healing but it could be argued that it isn't super powers, simply Mirakuru has amped up a humans natural strength and healing. It is a fine line and one I am not sure they haven't actually passed. Regarding Flash though, you saw how he got powers but not using them. Again a small distinction but possibly important.

Nooooo, dont end like that :(

Good episode especially after last weeks let down (for me anyway).

Only 7 or so left and its going to start hotting up. I have noticed the Black Canary fills out her suit rather nicely.

As somebody wanted her dead since her stupidity caused Tommy's death I have to say Laurel was surprisingly tolerable this ep, I guess she would be a worthwhile character if she wasn't normally written as the dumbest character in all of fiction.

She couldn't recognise her own Sister when she was staring right at her from a few inches away though. :p

Well this'll be confirmed one way or the other next week, but I took her pleading with Sara to not kill Huntress because "that's not who you are" as that she did figure it out, because no-one would be stupid enough to not recognise their sister when she's sat a foot away wearing a mask.

I thought it more as recognising that Black Canary was with Arrow, and thusly one of the 'good guys', something that Sarah still struggles with. According to Caity Lotz, Laurel didn't recognise Sarah, as she was more focused on that nice bottle of brandy..

To be honest, I thought they'd told Laurel straight off about Sarah, didn't even cross my mind that Laurel didn't know that Sarah was Black Canary.

I still think it's unrealistic that Vance doesn't know Oliver = Arrow.

Calling it now, both Sarah and Laurel are killed by Slade.

Cue Season 3:

"My name is Quentin Lance. My daughters were killed by a psychopath called Deathstroke... to keep their memory alive I had to become something else... someone else... I, am Black Canary..."

Cut to close up of Quentin's ass wearing tight leather trousers strutting away from the screen, he turns showing off his hairy chest and blonde wig and pouts. Fade to black.

/Rapturous applause from the fans.

Nah, it should be Dinah Lance, let's get Alex Kingston in skin tight leather :P

.... I did not notice this. That hair!! I also agree, i am hoping that Harley is used in the next batman...

Another awesome episode!!! :D Black Canary vs Huntress!!! Yummy!!! :D

Noticed this so many times. How laurel hasn't noticed the scar on Canary's lip and made the reference... I think its down to the whole DC thing though. So i just forget about it.

When are they going to tell Thea? I did think that Oliver telling Roy to finish Thea didn't really make sense as Thea is the only person that stops Roy from 'Raging'.

Also Deathstroke is my favourite villian when all dressed up. Looks so badass. Can not wait till its a full on fighting episode. Probably in the finale? Still waiting for Flash to show up too.

i hate this in many comics or films. oh hes got a 1 in thin mask no one will ever guess who he is even though they see him every ten minutes :p

Rather see Laurel in the black canary suit. Though trying to work out if you are slow noticing Sarah's suit or whether you have been to busy looking at the suit to post before now :p

I hadn't notice she has a scar on her lip, will have to keep an eye out for it. It does annoy me slightly, Lance not knowing it is Oliver you can just about keep acceptable as he is mostly is shadow and voice changer etc. But Black Canary really doesn't hide much of her face, though I suppose when it comes from the universe of supermans disguise of glasses we should be thankful.

We don't know quite what Slade's plan is when picking up Thea. He is building up to hurting Oliver but so far has really only ingrained himself with the Queen family and not actually harmed anyone. So is he genuinly giving her a lift or will it lead to Thea being kidnapped? I think when it comes to it and Slade really goes all out for everyone I think the story needs her to know, through finding out Roy is Red Arrow or by him telling her. I'm not sure I like the idea of her finding everything out about Olvier, Sarah, Diggle etc.

Also agree, they have got Deathstroke looking really good in this. Though prefer the Island mask to the smooth one he wears now.
