US: Arrow - Season 2

So this is worth sticking with? I watched the first 5 episodes and found it really cheesy and the main guy was to perfect! and my Mrs fancied him so it got barred!! lol. Wish he at least had a scar on his face or something!

Yes... It starts off cheesy and cliche'd, with no real depth and no obvious direction. It improves a *lot* throughout the series though. Far, far better towards the end. It's still pretty cheesy and contrived at times, but it's a good and entertaining ride.

I almost didn't stick with it after episode 3 or 4, but I'm glad that I did. Looking forward to series 2.


Oh - and let your missus fancy the dude, she has eyes you know! Don't be so wet :p Everybody needs a fantasy. Just make up for it by ogling the plethora of hot ladies in this show :p More super-fine hotties are introduced as the series progresses so it's all good!

Much better than Smallville ever was IMO, but I get what you're saying, style-wise. Since it's on the CW (same network as Smallville) I guess that probably shouldn't be too surprising.

Maybe this will be her chance to get multiple seasons in something, i can't see Arrow going anywhere anytime soon. Although i must confess i'd rather see her in one season of anything and it canceled than not see her at all :p

I enjoyed Justin Hartley as the Green Arrow but he got to play a light hearted sometimes comic role, Arrow has gone with the batman/superman reboots and gone darker. Although it still has my favourite quote (also ever) in it:

Tommy: She looks like the chick from Twilight.
Oliver: What's Twilight?
Tommy: You are so better off not knowing

I suspect not. They've really shied away from 'supers' and have a major reality basis. Not sure I would want someone with superpowers turning up unless it was Ironman/batman style high technology rather than Thor style gods.
 
The lass we see as Black Canary may not be Laurel Lance. But it is Black Canary in a flash back of some sort. Yes. There was an epic confusion when Caity Lotz was cast as Black Canary. But the producers have assured us she is not playing Black Canary. But someone who will have ties to Black Canary herself.

And the title of the season 2 premiere episode is "City Of Heroes". Roll on Oct 9th.

The "city of heroes" bit does make wonder if we will see more than Black Canary, or who ever she turns out to be, and Speedy as add in heroes.

Cyborg would be a fairly easy add in, his powers come from technology and shouldn't throw off the non super idea.
