Hijack? You mean hostage? How likely is that to happen?

As in a plane/ship/whatever been hijacked and passenger held as Hostage, With the state of the world today, the UK (including citizens) is seen by many terrorist as a potential target. Enough said. I was only giving an instance why holding a British passport dont make it the "bestest" idea in the world.

In such a situation, the nationality probably wouldnt make a difference..

The positives of holding a British passport far outweigh any crazy imaginary situational negatives.

Really, Im assuming you hold one just like me. I will tell you what though, i bet i will feel safer in Iraq than you will. There's a high probability you will get killed if you and me are held as hostages by any of the insurgents.

EDIT
Remember back in 70s when a french plane (iirc) was hijacked by Palastine terrorist/freedom fighters. They held on to the Israelites on the basis of passport they were holding.

If either of us were captured by insurgents, chances are we would both be killed.

You must have a terrible life if youre worried about terrorists jumping out from behind every rock..

Im talking about normal life, not outrageously unlikely scenarios :dunno:

Tbh 'pay to register' should be law over here. Might slow down some of the 'undoubtably fine' breeding that goeson in certain estates.

My poor brain is going
Its very complicated, but still having to have long birth certificate is stupid.
Isn’t passport will answer to all the question??

I thought having passport will proof who you are and nationality.
I know people have 2,3 passport but you do need to get hold of right paper work to get them, including birth certificate. I think it should be enough.

It should, but you can't fight the paper-pushers unfortunately. If there's a complicated, annoying, pointless way of doing something they'll find that way.
