I bought Nero 10 Platinum HD a few months ago. I've upgraded my computer a few times and had to format the hard drive. Just re-installed Nero again and apparently i can't use it

I emailed Nero 4 days ago along with a Paypal receipt for their product but they haven't been back in touch.

Is there a way to de-activate this patent activation so i can actually use the product?

This sucks that i have a geniune copy that i can't use.

Sucks. Can't help further than saying pursue them more really. What did you need to do urgently though? There's some excellent freeware out there for the sort of thing Nero does

I'm on holiday in 7 days and i've just transferred over 30GB of HD movies from my camcorder to my PC and i want to burn them onto blu-ray.

Hi same thing happened to me using Nero 9 ( as I do a fresh install every 6-9 months) I contacted Nero support and they reset the activation, I think I gave them the retail serial number on the box, and is now working fine, and I haven’t done a reinstall (yet) so time will tell ;);)

Loads of better burners out there than NeBLOATro.

CDBurnerXP, BurnAware, IMGBurn to name a few.

the guy has bought nero, i dont think pointing out free alternatives is really the answer he was looking for, though if this needed to be done in a hurry then im sure anything mentioned will do that job.

Sorted. Got a nice email today in broken English saying they have activated the patents again. I feel a bit crap because i threatened them with a PayPal dispute and called them worse than S**te ... anyway sorted :D

Im having fun with Nero, I stupidly paid £19.99 on Saturday to upgrade from nero 9 to nero 10 using their online shop, it wasn't until I tried to install it I realised I had purchased the wrong version (dont drink wine and make online purchases)
I sent them an email the following day to request a refund and this is the reply I received.
