..the playlist on Capital FM (formally Galaxy). On an 8 shift you will hear the same Rhianna/Ga Ga/Lopez/that stupid billionaire song every hour after hour ..... why isn't this radio station banned? It really is appalling.

Try Pirate FM in Cornwall. It's so unbearable that it eventually becomes comfortable and dare I say it, charming.

I don't have an issue with Absolute as they have a no repeat guarantee in the same day... but each week it feels like it's the same playlist over and over :(

lol

im half sure they even play them in the same order on a night ! i started on the nightshift this week and on the third shift had to ask if we where listening to a recording. ''nah mate , its just capital fm''

If i change it to Absolute or something then you'll get 5-6-7-20 young 'un's running down to change it back to Capital FM ... it's a battle i can't win .....

Kiss and occasionally R1 is all I can bare listening to. My iPod is always plugged in which is what I always use, I love my fully iPod compatible headunit :p

But Heart is just so bad, every 3 minutes "This is Heart".. yes I ****ing know it is!!!! And the adverts.. urgh :(

..."Capital FM Rocks!", says Rhianna in that annoying advert. Is there any solicitor in this land that will back me up so we can sue them for millions? How can repeated dance repeated dance music rock??????

the worst one is for south Wales argh 'LISTEN UP SOUTH WALES!'

No, YOU listen up you talantless tramp... Bugger off!

Get an MP3 player or something?

This is the way forward, MP3's have been around for almost 20 years now... I really need to get an AUX in adaptor for my car radio, as until then I'm stuck with whatever rubbish is on the radio or the same CD I've heard a million times over! :(

I know exactly what you mean OP. I hear that radio station if I ever pass a radio or happen to be in someones car gettign a lift somewhere. Akways the same R 'N B **** etc. I hate it. I really do. 90's pop was more bearable. I'll stick to my ipod or the speakers on my pc when I'm at home. Alas I don't think I'll ever find a radio station that I can whack on at any point in the day that would cater to my musical needs. Doesn't really bother me though. If I hear any of the mainstream radio stations I usually turn them off, despite it annoying whoever was listening to it. I really can't stand it.

*Just though I'd add.. All the bars nowadays that play music on a Friday night or whatever all play the Rhinna etc crap too. I remember speaking to one of the DJ's one time at a local Lloyds bar and he pretty much told me that he hated it as well yet if he was to try and play anything else he would get in trouble. Kinda takes the point out of being a DJ really... He was just the button presser guy, making sure nobody pressed pause lol.
