ARRRRGGHH , but it's so small ...

Fairly sure the radio stations in Scotland are all linked in someway. So many times when driving, some crappy rnb song comes on galaxy fm, so I change it to real radio but they are playing the same song, so I change it to radio forth and guess what... same song on there too ffs!

I now listen to Radio 5 live, some decent chat at times, even if they really annoy me by cutting people off mid sentence, so they can keep on schedule and go to the weather or the latest travel news that was repeated 20 mins ago :/

IIRC many/most of the "local" commercial stations are now effectively owned and run by a couple of companies with the only "local" bits being the adverts, and pretty much everything run from a single studio/

I wish I could get 6 music in my car... ah well, Radio 2/1 can provide some good tunes, with radio 4 waking me up in the morning. I wish there was an actual non stop music station that just played music, with no whining presenter in the middle asking you to text in or something - they could have 3 different stations - BBC non stop pop/classics/indie or something, and for classical stuff the current stations seem to be OK already.

Despite my usual dislike of music stations with talking, I would pay good money to listen to a radio show with the duke of Edinburgh, Paxman, a comedian, and a guest.

Have you tried watching the music channels too?

but wasn't the site mothballed?
last I heard only the yanks where still there and they where clearing out soon!

unless you're in the golf ball?

The Yanks have indeed left, as what they were doing here has basically drawn to a close. At one point the future of the entire station was under debate, but now it's quite busy again. Survival training is the main thing going on, as well as support for other units including RRH Portreath.

Portreath is where the "golf ball" that houses the Radar is, amongst other bits and bobs that are fun to play with :p

One of the work vehicles can for some reason only pick up Pirate FM and BBC Cornwall. The other day I flicked through the channels and someone had programmed Pirate FM into every one :o :(

MTV don't even seem to broadcast music videos now, it seems to be mostly cheap to make reality TV such as Super Teen Mom or whatever it's called...
