ARRRRRRRGH! RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

Never play Hardcore Headquarters On Shipment on COD4, i was nearly crying yesterday! mental grenades and rockets everywhere, team kills aplenty and getting the 20 second spawn for team kills 5 times in a row was a nightmare.... I swear team mates were just laying down on my grenades after i had thrown them!

I quit if I'm not having fun in larger games (e.g. 32 player server based FPS games), but it's certainly not through rage and I'd never ever do it on smaller games like 3v3 RTS games, or 1v1 fighting games.

I get annoyed at fighting games such as Street Fighter and Tekken, the characters at later levels just spam unblockable moves multiple times to lolded you.

I rage quit gears 2 online quite a lot. It's just very annoying sometimes. Can't wait for modern warfare 2 so I can be done with it.
I've rage quit other games too but can't remember which ones.

Sometimes I don't bother quitting, I just stay and mess about. Like trying to drive from one tip of Wake Island to the other in BF1943 in the fastest time.

i havent quit yet in fifa - coz its not as frustrating as 09.

I won a hard fought 3-2 victory (i was 2-1 down) and the muppet quit right on 90 minutes. (arsenal vs real m i think)

I always send them a nice "thanks for the game" message though :D

Pro Evo 2005 on the first xbox used to cheat something chronic.
I was winning the international cup (or whatever it was) final against france, 2-0 up with 5 minutes to go, then conceded three in 5 minutes and it wasnt because of well worked goals, it was all of a sudden my defenders were launching themselves into the opposite direction to the player I wanted to tackle, the goal keeper suddenly went from Oliver khan style brilliance to David James Buffoonery and Xbox pad went from being 1 piece to about 50 as I flung it against the wall as hard as I could.

I don't quit on football games. I did once however slam my Playstation 2 controller into the ground because of a football game - things just weren't going like they should and whack.

Picked it up and thought "I'm surprised that didn't break" but soon come to realise that the R2 button had stuck firmly in the housing of the controller.

The other day I punched my bed because of Fifa 10 but quitting is for little girls. Happens too often when I'm on form.

to be honest if i didnt quit when am in a rage i would end up breaking something expensive, and am sure its like that for a lot of before

I used to get really annoyed at times whilst playing CS, usually at moronic team mates who simply didn't have a clue.

A few months ago I quit an online NWN server following a good 3 years playing there. That was simply down to the DMs, who were becoming more oppressive, yet paid absolutely zero attention to any feedback, even when they themselves asked for it.

Two things come to mind:

Damn rubber-banding NPC cars back in NFS Most Wanted, you'd get a lap lead on them and they'd ghost across the map, then you'd make one tiny error and they'd leave you in their dust! Almost launched a controller for that.

The corridors of death in 'No Fighting in the War Room' on COD4 veteran mode. There was one bit with the missile silos where I must have spent most of a day replaying the same 30 second bit over and over. I had to stop and take a break before I went nuts!

I had to buy a set of precision screwdrivers as I kept launching my ps3 controllers across the room on one or two games. I admit to doing it the other day also when trying to get online flash point coop to work with my mate. We would get 15 mins into the game and it would quit. After the 5th attempt it was launched and I aint touched the game since.

:/

Cod4 really does make me want to throw my dualshock at the wall!
It sucks when i swear i start shooting the person first and they kill me.(no perks)
I hate with a passion sabotage (i have rage quit so many!) but i really just wanted to win 50 games of it and taken some doing.

I'm calmer than I was but that ain't saying much, my worst offences are probably 2 dreamcast contollers wrecked in under 10 mins on MSR and Pro Evolution Soccer 2 causing me to launch my original Playstation out my bedroom window... what a fool

The Dead or Alive fighting games for me.

My god is the counter system in these games so cheap it's unbelievable. They just take down way too much health. I don't have a problem playing against human players, but against the AI on the hardest difficulties and especially the ridiculously cheap end bosses, it is almost impossible.

One major example regarding this is me throwing the gamepad onto my laminated flooring on the final boss fight for Dead or Alive 2 on the Dreamcast. Whilst the controller still works, there is a massive crack on one side as proof of my frustration. God damn Tengu you big nosed freak!

And don't even get me started on Dead or Alive 4's ALPHA-152!

Rage quit? I've gone further then that in the past and "Rage Sold" games. Only to buy them back a few weeks later :o

LOL Rage sale!

hahaha I have never done that but that is pretty good!

When I use to play games a lot more reguarly if I got frustrated from dieing or what not I use to tense up or squeeze the life out the controller or bonk the controller against something...

Quite funny to think back on that now, was over 10 years ago now - honest!

I use to play WoW for years and that never got me as frustrated as I use to, but that game is easy/slow paced unless your on some raid boss and they only last a few minutes.
