ART-Mark (Another Ray Tracing Benchmark)

Hey, I am the developer of the benchmark.

Thanks to your feedback I was already able to fix some heavy bugs.
It is really nice to see that some of you started benchmarking here!

Version 0.80 can now be downloaded here.

The password for the installation is Perschistence

RELEASE NOTES

Because the number of downloads had increased dramatically yesterday, I had to get creative to provide the benchmark without big discontinuances. Yesterday alone it was causing around 200GB of traffic as you can see in the picture below:

I want to say thank you to those who continued to share the benchmark on Reddit and other places!

What would you suggest to be the ideal baseline settings as people seem to be using 720p but to me this is not realistic because people dont game at 720p. I would have thought at least 1080p is better as I can see this thread ending up being pretty meaningless without some kind of @Kaapstad structuring.

I would have thought of 720p at "No RT Extreme" and "Very High" as a pretty optimal setting because every computer with a matching feature set should be able to run it without problems.
Yes it is not realistic to play games using 720p, but it seems also not to be realistic to render reflections with that many bounces in a game you want to have a playable framerates with and the results are a bit more reliable with higher framerates. The biggest drawback for me with 720p is that it does not look very pleasing to the eye, I guess.^^

Is that why his screen shots are so blurry?

Indeed. There is no quality standard with DLSS. It might look crap to the real thing, but the results won't be questioned since we 'know' DLSS is on. Basically at that point it can be whatever Nvidia want it to be, with impunity.

It's a band-aid tech for graphics cards that can't keep pace with modern screen resolution, in SOME games. The performance mode is a joke. Quality mode is the only real worthy setting, and useful for third person pretty visual games viewed at distance.

Anywho.. getting off topic. Very cool to see another RT benchmark :) I'm still off the opinion that RT isn't ready yet, but I'm happy Nvidia are pushing it :)

BTW: The Benchmark looks amazing on a 32:9 monitor.
