Artifacts at Stock?

Hi, after reading another thread here I decided to download ATiTool as I plan to overclock my 512mb X1800XT when I get my waterblock to put on it, however on using ATiTool and displaying the 3D image, I get this distortion on the render, at stock! Is this normal whats going on there?

WTF? Have you ever seen artifacts in games or anything, at all? What version of Catalyst are you using, and have you tried reinstalling them?

Im using CCC 6.4, never noticed anything strange in games, it runs css at around 350fps so thats nice...very strange

Do yu have temporal anti-aliasing enabled? That causes artifacts in ATITool (last time I checked anyway).

I'd try forcing it off. I had a similar problem once, and that was th solution.

There isnt an option to force off in CCC.

hmm strange, if in ATi tool I click on scan for artifacts, when I abort the yellow distortions go, but if I close ati tool, or clse the 3d view window and reopen it appears again...

I think this is an ATI tool problem,you do know that ATI tool won't work with the CCC installed anyway on all X1XXX series cards.

You need to do a bit of fiddling to get it to work Have a look here,it works just fine when you follow the thread instructions

I would just check for artifacts whilst gaming,run 3dmark etc,just to make sure your card is ok
