Artificial grass

Go to your local carpet shops, when i went to my local the guy there said he was selling more of it than carpets!
You can get a good feel for it, and all my shops were similar prices to online.

I used a spade and dug about 6"-8" of soil out, added some drainage and stones and then the new "carpet" over the top.
One thing i wish i did was let the stones settle for 2-3 months, they did drop down at least 1-2 inches when they settled and it doesnt look as good as it did when it was first laid.

No cat poo on my artificial grass and there's a bunch of cats on the estate. Don't have a dog either.

I don't maintain mine at all, it was just here when I moved in. It's got patches of moss growing on it which makes it look proper real, I just don't have to mow it :D

Well when I went round to my mates it was covered in it.

So he bought the sensors straight away
probably down to different types of grass, I just wanted to share my experience as it has been a joy here not to have to shovel loads of poo off the lawn every time the kids want to go outside.
