AS/A2 Exams - how are they going?

As title really, just thought it'd be nice to have our own thread :D

Had a Maths C2 AS resit on Monday - went okay-ish, did hardly any revision for it though as I now don't need it for university (though still want a semi-presentable grade in it)

I've also got an English Lit Pride and Prejudice AS resit on Friday - anybody else doing this? Left reading the book 'till the last minute haha, now I'm cacking it and trying to skim reading the utter drivel that is that novel.

I break up on Friday as well - can't believe how quick college has gone really :eek:

OCR M1 on Monday.

Went quite well, hopefully an A and I feel I deserved it as I did a ridiculous amount of revision. Even turned down an invite on Sat night.

Have had 2 general studies exams and 2 critical thinking exams. All a complete waste of time.

1 Physics practical exam which was pretty easy. Not got any exams until the 4th now.
 
Done electronics AS yesterday. Went OK I guess. First paper was easy but the module 2 paper was hard! We hadn't been taught any of it, seriously. We got some revision notes summing up module 2 on Wednesday :/ Majority walked out after the first hour as it wasn't doable. Even if I do pass, I find it unlikely there will be the student numbers to continue to A level.

Bit of a joke really.
 
I did Maths AS Core 1 on Monday, went good just one question that i may have got wrong so hoping for A/B grade. Then i had IT on Tuesday, what a joke, worst subject choice of my life. Just wish my 6th Form did Electronics rather then endless hours of plugging numbers in to Excel. Anyway, exam seemed to go ok but my coursework is terrible, can only blame myself though :). Next one is 5th June and last is 8th June. Mechanics and Physics to go :o.
 
theres something wrong with your college.
I did my electronics retake for Signal processing, went really well i thought, specially when i corrected everyone after the exam when we were reviewing questions.

next ones on the 11th. wish me luck please :)

Doing GCSEs atm, but done 2 modules for Maths so far, C1/2 on monday, went ok, hopefully will have got the A, as i'm doing it a year early i've structured my VIth form choices around getting that A, i did enough work for it lol... About 40 past papers in the fortnight up to the exams. I just hate the waiting.

Stats after the week break so will be doing mucho revision for that and fit in my GCSEs around that. AS really has made me appreciate how big a step up it is from GCSE to AS/A2 and made me realise how much more effort i need to put in next year.
 
Yeh, it really is. Though, core 1 and mechanics weren't too bad for me. However when we finished doing core 1 we started to look at core 2 and at radians and i was pretty much lost until a lesson before we started to revisit core 1 again, so not looking forward to next year :).
 
did AS Computing CPT1 on tuesday, I'm only in year 10 tho hehee. Didn't go too bad, don't think I've lost more than about 10 marks or so.
 
Had 3 hours of English Language (A/S) on Tuesday, Music Tech tomorrow afternoon and then final Music on the 4th June. Then I'm done and start on the A2!!
 
Im about half way through my AS's. Critical thinking was stupid, school really hadn't prepared us for that exam.

Maths C2 was okay. For the life of me I couldn't get the first question into surd form.

Got geography on friday so getting all my case studies learnt. Then got mechanics and chemistry after halfterm. We are them back into school almost straight away to start A2!
 
Our college really must be strange. Is everyone here doing C2 this year? :S. We're doing C2 in January to finish off our AS so won't get an AS until then. Our board is AQA by the way, might be just how they do it. Apparently we could only prepare for 2 exams properly though we will be doing 4 next year so don't quite get the logic behind it.

Well I'm on WJEC...:p

Physics practical was alright, I messed my graph on one of the questions though, should hopefully get a B or a C.

C1 was ok didnt care about it really as I had an A last time.
C2 was a cakewalk, really suprising, shows that putting the work in can be rewarding (Been revising c2 consistantly since May 1st) :D


I've got Mechanics on the 7th and then Economics and Physics on the 9th. :/
Better start studying then I guess. :/

All I'll say is... lucky buggers. I'm doing A2's but I've got 5 AS modules as well. First exam is Friday then I've got a week break before 12 exams in 3 weeks. :(
 
I've only had Mechanics so far. I think it went pretty well.

Still got C4 and maths comprehension, 3 physics papers, and chemistry unit 5 and unit 6. :(
